Brick wall ... !!!

Hello there.

I am getting an inkling that I am facing imminent redundancy from my full-time job, where I had a nice little set up working in the office one day a week and then at home for the rest of the week. I have an 18 month old, and no help with childcare, so was hoping to find something working from home that I can do as and when I can.

I am new to forums (so a bit slow with the abbreviations - oh I feel old !!!) but am hoping to find a hot tip on a website that I can p'raps register on and find as much, or as little, work as I need ?? I was hoping for home admin work - such as transcription, proofreading, etc ??

Even having read the 'getting started' page, I still don't really know what I'm doing !!! I suddenly very much feel my age and feel that the future is bleak !!!

Please can anyone help me to get over this brick wall I seem to have hit ?!!!

Thank you in advance :)

Hey [member=3670]MaxineElders[/member]

You've come to the right place to replace that income!!

http://blog.themoneyshed.co.uk/working-from-home-toolkit/

The above beginners guide toolkit will give you an easy £700-£1000+

Like it or lump it you need to get into Matched Betting. It's risk free and TAX FREE, it's VERY simple to do and will earn you a very tidy sum each month

I wrote a beginners guide here

http://slummysinglemummy.com/2015/09/09/earn-up-to-1000-tax-free-every-month-with-matched-betting/

Apart from Matched Betting look at stuff like

Leapforce / Lionbridge / Appen - They all pay a hourly rate above UK minimum

WhatUserDo/ UTest

and of course mystery shopping

try not to do anything that doesn't pay ABOVE minimum wage!

Any questions, just ask!!

We can help you sort all this out!!

Hi [member=3670]MaxineElders[/member]

Jon above has said it all. there is no real 'hot tip' but based on your home working requirement there are some great tips on his home-working guide. Match Betting a great step forward that loads of people make extra cash from.

If you have any questions then people on this forum are very helpful and knowledgeable and will be happy to offer advice/support :)

You'll be able to register on peopleperhour.com and get work that way.

You can post a job advert called an Hourlie (the services you offer) e.g. say you can write a 500 word article for £15 or proofread a 500 word article for X amount. As you won't have feedback, PPH will attempt to find your first few clients but you'll also be invited to jobs clients are advertising and can search the site. If you apply for a job, just tell the client what it is you can do for them, in what time frame and for how much.

Just make sure you're registered as self employed.

Good luck!

Welcome to you :) I have some links in my signature that should help you make some extra money. Also, I wrote a guide on completing surveys for TMS that you can read here: http://blog.themoneyshed.co.uk/survey-bible-maximise-online-survey-earnings/

It's best to keep a few irons in the fire, so sign up for freelance sites (such as PPH - experience will pay!), and the higher earning stuff that Jon has said. I am finding myself in the position where I had very little freelance work in April until last week which now sees me fully booked to the end of the month and I am trying so hard to get through it asap as I am loathed to turn anything down.

I do Leapforce, and when no freelance work I try to earn on there. I also lean toward laziness however :D

So, sign up with everything (that will pay you what you want) and see what is for you.

Don't feel out of touch - I didn't have a mobile phone until I joined this site lol

Thank you everyone - that has certainly given me a lot to look into.

I'm liking the look of peopleperhour.com and the surveys - I must admit that I don't understand the matched betting, even though I have tried to read and read and read the articles !!

I understand what you are saying here, sometimes a wall of text isn't the easiest way to grasp something

Click the banner above for Matched Betting and give the FREE TRIAL a go.You will make around £45 (RISK FREE) and get a FAR better understanding of just how easy MBing is compared to just reading facts and figures ;)

Don't discount Web Search Evalulator work like Leapforce / Lionbridge / Appen. It's a good way to bring in £500+ a month alone

Match betting is all about following instructions, I've been doing it very slowly, and building my confidence and its surprising how it all starts to click into place. Although I still have a long way to go before I feel knowledgeable, I'm more than happy with my tortoise pace. Good luck.

Welcome! There are a lot of work from home transcription jobs out there. One that has "advertised" on here is Take Note. You have to complete "shifts" as it were though I think. Others you work as and when you want to. It is true not to rely on these earnings as a given though as work can fluctuate although if you go with an established company you should be fine! Good luck :)

I knew nothing about Match Betting at first but with the help of everyone here and the PA Free Trial I was able to get the hang of it. Now I find it an easy way to make money.
As Jon says sign up and give the free trial ago then you will understand it better and see if it suits you.

Hi [member=3670]MaxineElders[/member] , I would agree with the advice about matched betting. It has been the most successful source of online income for me by far and it's not necessary to know anything about betting before starting. I knew next to nothing about betting and made around £450 profit in my first month.

[member=871]Twiggy[/member] hope you don't mind me jumping in to say... If you get more work and you're fully booked, depending on what you need I can recommend [member=277]Chammy[/member] for articles etc. She gets work done fast, on time, and her prices are good :) x
