So just a bit of a blog about my experience today in finally deciding to change our broadband provider and save us pounds each month.

Just to say, that having realised we are paying exorbitant monthly costs for Sky TV and Broadband, even though we have been loyal members for over 10years, we are now going to save costs by changing to Virgin Media for our Broadband, where we should get triple our current broadband speed, and getting £75 bill credit off an 18mth contract, and then use just our Smart TV's with basic channels and buy subscriptions for Netflix and other channels.

Added to this, we were experiencing terrible internet connection yesterday, so I used the Sky App to run a test which confirmed difficulties which Sky said they could not resolve, and ended receiving an email to say I could terminate the contract for no exit fees due to running the test. Having spoken to the Sky Agent and sending him the email to confirm cancellation of exit fee, even though it said it was just for Broadband, they also added on no exit fee for TV package also which was great. Any recommendations on buying an Amazon Stick would be gratefully received?

We have an Amazon Firestick. Its easy to use and despite it saying that it needs to be plugged into a power supply, ours isn't. Its just plugged straight into the TV. That might depend on the TV though. There's loads of apps available, which are easy to download. There's so many free streaming platforms now, that there's loads of choice on things to watch without paying for a subscription. Only problem we have is that the remote is so small that we keep losing it down the side of the sofa!

So very happy with our change to Virgin Media which is saving us a bomb every month. Here is my referral code if anyone wants to change to Virgin Media.

May well be using that in the next couple of weeks. I need to halve outgoings to hit my projected goals this year, and this would help!
