I remember the last few years there were some excellent Cheltenham festival preview nights, so here is a round-up of 2018 preview nights. These usually offer some good price boosts.

BETFAIR - Date TBC, from 1930 hrs. Live stream on Facebook and Twitter. Some big boosts for BF sportsbook.

BETBRIGHT - Thursday 01 March 2018, from 1900 hrs.

BETFRED - Sunday 11 March 2018, from 1900 hrs. Favourites boosted, available online and in shops to £100 max.

CORAL - similar to Betfred, the final Sunday before the festival at around 1900 hrs

STARSPORTSBET - check their website for preview evenings. Offering £50 matched bet for attendees.

SUNBETS - Wednesday 08 March 2018, 1900-2200 hrs. The 2017 preview had some AWESOME boosts.

I am sure there are more, will update as I become aware...

Well, last year you had to be quick off the mark with Sunbets, but they had Altior (which won), Neon Wolf (lost) and others that were huge arbs for £20-25 max stakes.

Starsportsbet is a telephone bookmaker, they normally have some kind of sign-up bonus for Cheltenham, keep your eyes peeled. Also, their daily price boosts can be descent. However, the are a telephone bookie who rarely publish prices, so take the middling odds in the market from oddschecker and work from that.

I am already working on researching potential extra place offers etc.

Sunbets had some good straight singles on the likes of Altior, Neon Wolf, Douvan etc, which were like 3.5/2.10, 4.5/2.80 sort of ballpark figures for a £20 max stake. The boosts tended to be pulled fairly quickly.

Edit: Betfair preview 28th Feb cancelled due to weather!

Starting to see some offers now, but the odds matches aren’t good yet.

One on skybet (1.30 every day money back if losing) and one on ladbrokes for the first race can’t remember exactly double win if you win.

Is it best to wait a while for better odds matches or get them placed now?

I'll only have the Thursday off this year. I'm Flying to Dublin on the Friday so will also have the morning free.

Last year i did most of my betting on my phone drunk in Dublin and still made a wad so i think this year will be fine.

My only advise would be to get up early and plan.

Personally I would wait. Still lots of time for non runners and prices to change.

Yes. Plan.

I will be working this year so my plan is to get up early and place the bets before work for any money back first race offers plus the last race for the Bet 365 offer, so if it does win I can place the bet on the first race the following morning. Will try to fit in other offers as best I can.

@homie, I think the Bet365 4/1 offer might be on until the 16.10 race each day? haven't checked yet, but I remember in previous years the 16.50 and 17.30 races were excluded from the 4/1 offer.

I'm hoping PA / OM etc will do the thing they usually do which is send out an email every morning at 8am during the festival giving you a rundown of all the offers etc in a 'easy glance' mode as Cheltenham can be a bit overwhelming the first time you do it just due to the sheer number of offers each day!!

Once all the runners are declared that first race is going to need a serious bit of strategising over!!!!

They will publish on the website the valid races for each day - just go to the horse racing page and click on the offer on the right hand side and the page it goes to shows you the list

Yeah, It's usually just the televised races isn't it.

I've taken a few gubbings since last year so hoping I can still make a decent amount this time.
