Ive put a few bets through but i think ive either confused myself now or drawn attention to myself with smarkets!

Earlier in the morning i was doing some of the offers using melon on the first race and as normal i laid it with smarkets.

then i went on to do the matchbook offer where you place a pre match lay bet with matchbook min liability of £50 and i used smarkets as the back bet- i didnt realise at the time and i used the same horse again- melon!

So i now have in smarkets back and lay bets for melon! which i know your not meant to do. My balance showing on smarkets was different to what i recorded on my ultimatcher so i queried it on chat. They have said its because of the multiple bets it has reduced my exposure- i assume its the back and lay bets on the same horse?

Will all my bets now go through ok? is this likely to get me into trouble with smarkets?

You'll be fine with smarkets, I used to have multiple lays on a single race with them. As soon as you have multiple results on one market backed/laid with smarkets then you'll find your balance on smarkets will look wrong in ultimatcher, when they settle and you record results it'll sort itself out again.

So, I've placed (and laid) my free WH bet from yesterday's match. Place (and not laid) a £10 free bet I also had on WH - this is my "sod it" bet. Waiting for my free SJ bet to credit which I'll also not bother laying and I now don't know where to go - so many offers lol

I assumed with how publicised match betting is, is that it's completely legal?

there is no worst that can happen really...

If a bookie sees you just taking offers instead of doing 'mug' bets as well they would just stop you from taking offers with them that's all. You wouldn't lose any money or anything [member=5687]Crazycatlady[/member]

Sweet! Thanks. I suspected at the worst they would suspend your account and take your winnings. As long as I'm not looking at being the next Michael Scofield (Prison Break) it's all good

I can't really get my head around all this match catcher business so i'm gonna just do a high odds mug bet to take advantage of the WH bet £20 to get £10 free bet.

It's the taking part that counts, not the winning (she tells herself lol)
