I've been using eToro to buy Cryptocurrency and its the fastest moving market out there!
Went to a conference run by eToro folks and there were many people who had gone into this some even after leaving school !

Bitcoins were one of the first but now there are many more inc ripple and litecoins ...the banks are moving on to have their own, so well worth looking into this guys!

I did read an article in The Times recently regarding Bitcoin and it said that some luxury retailers around Belgravia and Lamborghini accept it as payment; whether these calibre of shops are accepting it due its current high value is to be determined, though, I doubt the likes of Primark will be accepting it any time soon.

I finally bought some cryptocurrency last week via eToro.

As a platform it's a pretty good way to buy into different trends. You also get a virtual £100,000 with which you can invest yourself or follow other traders profiled in the system.

About £100 worth across 5 different ones.
How's eTorro working out RickyRaj?
I was considering moving from just holding cryptocurrency to speculation. I presume that you can set sell triggers once your chosen cryptocurrency hits a set price? What are the fees like? Can you buy/sell on multiple exchanges giving a chance for arbitrage?
Very interested to hear your experience.

The silly thing is that if we all bought just a bit even when this thread staryed we'd all be a little bit richer 2 months dowm the line! It's going nuts and that is what worries me to be frank...

It's going ok at the moment. 2 out of the 6 positions closed out as they had triggered the 'Take profit' setting so a nice $40 made there. I realised that I had not set the 'Take profit' trigger high enough so bought the same 2 positions again taking my positions back to 6.

My advice if you are want to try it out is to sign up and use their virtual $100,000 to get a feel for the platform. Here is my referral link if you want to give it a go http://etoro.tw/2j6N1ga

My only criticism would be that some of the stocks I want to trade are not listed.

@RickyRaj is there a minimum investment requirement?

$25 dollars. I put in £200 which gave me about $260 dollars. This allowed me to invest small amounts into the various cryptos that Etoro allow you to trade.

The nice thing about Etoro is following other Traders and funds. Your account can be set up to mirror them automatically. I'm using the virtual $100,000 to follow a few and see how they perform over the next 6 months at least.

Thanks for the information RickyRaj. I've set up an eTorro account & I'm just using the virtual $100,000 dollars to see how much profit/loss is on various markets before I think about putting real money in. In the short term I've been using it the biggest upward mover is definitely Bitcoin (although there is huge variance in the market as we know). Would be nice if there was a larger selection of cryptocurrencies to trade but it is giving me a better insight into how it all works. Its interesting to see the daily fluctuations of other markets such as Fiat currencies, Gold, oil etc.
My original Bitcoin holdings I've had since I got £10 worth are now worth north of £4000 and rising & I've also been supplied with the same amount of Bitcoin Cash since the Bitcoin split earlier in the year which is a bonus.

@Rooster1st Have a look at the Cryptofund. It lists the different cryptos Etoro offer which I invested in individually. £4000 from £10 is a great ROI!

As far as I can see from eToro, there is a $25 withdrawl fee and then an extra fee (pips?) for getting GBP.

that seems like a lot. on a $250 starting position you have to have made 10% before you can cover the fees to withdraw, let alone any other fees incurred in trading.

That is a lot which is why I only put a little in to see how far this trend will run. It is a very volatile investment (and purely speculative on my part) so happy to take the loss if it comes to that.

I'm keeping an eye on this quite closely. Businesses have started to look at the DLT (digital ledger technology) which Bitcoin uses and the commercial applications of it.

I have a share account somewhere else. It charges a fee similar however seeing as I'm not looking to withdraw, only sell and then buy something else, I'm not overly worried about it.

I'm looking for someone who sells bitcoin/etherium that I can buy (and store) locally. Not sure who to use and what it will cost me at the moment.

This article might help. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/0/can-buy-bitcoin-uk/ Someone at my workplace used Cryptomate.
