Hi All,

I'm going to try and reach earnings of £1,500.00 PM on-line using what ever legal methods I come across during the year. I started in January and my target is to reach that by December 2015, obviously increasing the amount each month (hopefully).

At the moment I'm doing:

  • Web Search Evaluation
  • Web Site Testing
  • Software Testing

The above list may well increase over the year.

I should say that I can do this full-time as I do not have a 'day job', and that I am very technical as I've worked in IT for over 20-years. None of the above seems too tricky for now, but time will tell.

I use a limited company to do all this stuff as I've been a freelancer before and already had the company formed; plus it saves on tax and there are a lot of allowances you can offset.

I'll post my genuine earnings each month (invoice date, not income date) which will hopefully (fingers crossed) let people see that it is possible to escape the dreaded commute, poor managers, etc...

I'm happy to answer questions on any of the jobs I do, subject to any NDA in force.

Happy on-line earning :)

Looking forward to following along.

I have just applied to get my ltd struck off, (it wasn't for earning online) and am so happy to be sole trader and have everything simplified.

Hi,

I would do the same if my wife wasn't an accountant. As it is I just give her all the stuff and she sorts it. I'm very lucky in that respect :)

Which companies are you working for?

Hi,

I work for Leapforce, uTest, UserTesting, WhatUsersDo and People Per Hour. I passed the test for Appen but felt that the ongoing project was very subjective, so gave it a miss.

HTH,

Hi again,

I should mention that I did not earn money from all of those in January, which is why it's so low. More accurate results will start to appear in March I think.

Regards,

CAD.

Very interesting thread. I wish i was in a position to try this myself as if i even reached £1,100 pm i would be able to survive without a job. Currently being unemployed i'm interested to see if this works :p

Those companies aren't the do all and be all of online earnings

If you had been around this site 8 months ago when I was offering invites to work for 63336 like they were biscuits you could have been on that gravy train

Utest seems a good thing to be on at the moment and seems to be available to everyone. Just look how much spike is earning from it!

Stay in sites like this, strike up relationships and share information and you will be amazed what opportunities come your way

Then there is also the avenue that people like me, pheebs, chammy, alditoharrods are going down where you create a website/blog to generate income which while it can be hard work and very tiring at times is worth it in the long run

How do you make money from a website/blog? Is it by getting people to pay you to advertise their business on it?

My daughter is obsessed by these bloggers like zoella, mcbarbie and so on who apparently earn a fortune from blogging, but I don't understand how they earn their money, is it just through product placement?

TMS makes money by hooking up with companies and also companies paying to be advertised on here. To get to the level THIS site is at takes a LOT of work that starts at 6am and ends whenever I have stopped doing things.

Get up good content, work at it for a year at least and you will start to gain traction

I'm sure a LOT of people quit and pullout when they don't see instant results when it comes to setting up their own sites/blogs

There are plenty of ways to make money through a website:

Private advertising
Google Adsense
Skimlinks
Amazon Affiliates
Paid features
Selling your own products

The list goes on and on.

Of course, for most of those to earn you any significant amount of money, you need a site that brings in a decent amount of traffic.

Sounds similar to building a business from scratch

that is 100% what it is like

What it is not is setting up a blogger or wordpress.org account and just posting up content.

It requires a LOT of hard work and dedication, especially at the start when you aren't seeing any major results

That is exactly what it is, if you want to make a full time income from it.
