I have applied for this one but got an out-of-office till Monday reply so don't know if it is full as they are only looking for 50 names. Hope you are well. We have just won a new project which we need to get started on asap so its ready for September. We have done this particular project for the last few years. I need 50 addresses so wanted to see whether you know anyone that can help. If you don’t think you have done it before and you are not a current seed then we might be able to use you or if you have moved in the last year then again we can possibly use you or if you have another address that we do not use yet. Failing that if you know someone that we can use we will pay a £10 referral fee for anyone that you give us.
Please note -payments will be made twice a year and we have to put you on our books for payment (you will need to fill in a p46 or new starter form as its called now and a bank details form) so if this is not suitable to you then you may not want to apply. We have lots of self employed people on our books already so that’s not a problem as you can do both but if you are on any sort of benefits paying you may cause you issues.
Below a bit about the project:-
We are looking to use addresses for our seeding service. We currently do this sort of work already for other clients. However this particular client wants to set up their own small seeding service whereby they are the only ones that use your address for a year. You can do other work with us just not as a seed. They have set up this service in the past for other addresses which they have now stopped using. They would like to refresh this so are looking for 50 new addresses to use over the next 12 months starting from September.
Therefore we are looking for people who have not worked on our seeding set up before. The chances are you will not receive any mail as this project is mainly telephone based and the calls come into us. There is a chance however that you may receive the odd piece of mail which you just need to inform me of if you do and we can discuss further at the time. You will know it because even though it has your address on it there will be a fictitious name or company name on it. This will not affect your mail in anyway. If you are unsure you can always email me to check. I reckon in the past out of 50 people probably only 2 received anything.
The reason for this project is the client licences their data to lots of other companies and they want to be able to put fictitious companies into it without these companies knowing so they can track to see if any of these companies are misusing their data.
We will pay you £60 a year for the use of your address. This project will run for 12 months so if we start in September we will pay you £30 after 6 months and another £30 at the end of the year. You probably won’t need to do anything at all. You will need to go on payroll for this project. If you are currently self employed that’s fine we still put you on payroll and just send you a p60 each year of your earnings for your tax forms. If you are on any benefits this will affect that so you might want to think about that before applying.
We cannot use people who might be moving in the next 12 months or whose circumstance might change their address or who have been a seed for us in the past. If you are not sure email me and we can check. Most of you will already be on our books and would have filled in a p46 however if you haven’t you will need to do this and we will need you bank account number and sort code so we can pay you straight into your bank.
This project is now confirmed so if you would like to take part can you email me back with a yes and your full postal address and I will add you to the list. It will be for the first 50 people. As we have run this project before this is pretty much money for nothing. Also if you know anyone else that would like to take part at a different address that we can use please let me know (make sure you have their permission).
