Do you not take it as special leave instead of annual leave?

Nope, 7.4 hours is added to our time sheet for the day, the same as if we were at a training session or conference for the day
I think it's to try and incentivise people who are already on the payroll system to do the jobs so that they don't have to invest time in adding loads of new people!
