Hi!
I really don't know what to do, my partner left me in October and left me in financial difficulty. Since Oct I have been actively trying to get evening work but still to this day I’ve not secured anything.

I have applied for Appen and Leapforce a number of times but no work yet.

I do matched betting.

I am at my final stages with tutor but having problems with passing the IT test.

I am on my 4th stage with take note transcribing so still yet to pass.

I have registered with prolific and other survey companies.

I have registered with a number of website testing companies like test etc.

I am registered with click worker and mturk but not started any jobs.

I really would like to earn a weekly pay, does anyone have any tips to share to help me get regular work please? I am desperate. I have two weeks off work? Any recommendations on best companies to work for that I have registered to or are there any others? I ideally would like to put in 15 hours per day starting from now.
Thank you.

Hi Leigh

so sorry to read that you are in this situation.

is it short term money you are mainly after at the moment? If so then look at the likes of bemyeye (which seems to be stacked with jobs at the moment) and Roamler which are both smartphone task apps as you can cash out the work you do with them instantly.

Thank you for your quick reply Jon. I’m looking for both short term and long term work. I will look at the sites that you suggested but I don’t really have the petrol costs at the moment. I’m not near many shops that are walking distance either.

Thank you.

15 hours a day will do no good for your mental health.
Start with a couple of hours a day and see where you end up

Sent you a link to something Leighleigh.

Jon, do you have a spare Roamler code while you're at it?

Not much more to add here as lots of great things have been said and suggested. All I can think to throw into the pot is that look at what money you do have and see how you can budget. Really look at how to make food stretch and be creative as this may allow for a few extra pounds to be free. If you can find a way to get out (and the bus can be a cheap option, as well as walking sometimes takes less time than you realise, or can you borrow a bike?), then mystery shopping is not only a great income but it fits around your life and there are lots of ways to benefit from it than just cash, which then helps to free up other money.

Then if you can free any spare cash up then Match betting, especially if still in the early stages, as long as do take care not to do any risky offers, can be lucrative and a big help. I would not want you to lose money at this early stage, riskier offers maybe look at once more established.

I find both Mystery shopping and match betting also a great way to save money. Building a bank up in bookie accounts means if you need access to money it is there( can take a few days to withdraw so keep that in mind) and mystery shopping on top of money paid, you get reimbursed for any payments made which if you can learn to manage it, means you always have extra money coming in each month. See it as savings.

One thing I do is I squirrel money. Any spare change goes into a bottle, if I find myself with say £100 in cash I put at least £25 aside and then try and forget about it. I also have lots of apps that take money out of my bank all the time based on what goes in and out. These can be annoying at times but if you can manage them it helps you to work with what you have and perhaps not spend that extra £5 or £10.

My buying pattern is week by week and if I don't need something this week I won't get it. Sometimes I am surprised how long you can go without things then realise that perhaps you don't need things all the time. So if food shopping for instance bulk buys means you save money but if you need that money this week and if you had spare cash you could use it to get to a mystery shop or to make some money match betting you can bulk buy when the income or win comes in. It is all about planning and understanding how you live and can live.

It may take a few months to get established with some things so patience is key but if you do have plenty of time on your hands then do the research and get your planning in place and you will be flying in no time at all.

I'm sorry to read this, life can be a bit tough on us sometimes. Not sure if it is of any use to you, but if money is quite sparse, and also just because it's a good thing to do for the environment, you might be interested in Toogoodtogo and Olio? I know of quite a few people who use that and really love it. I hope you get sorted soon, it is not a nice feeling to be all out of cash.
