Right, my sister has set her wedding date which is 430 days away (August 13th 2016). My dress is being made so I'll probably be looking at getting measured from February so I need it all gone!

I'm fed up of it always being Monday and Monday never coming.

In theory, at 2lbs a week I could be 8 stone lighter (a little too much) by that date but accounting for Xmas etc I should be at a healthy weight by the beginning of February.

I know there are a few people on here who are watching what they eat, needing to drop a few for whatever reason so this is a new thread for you! We can do this, lets shed the pounds while making the pounds ;)

I'm going to think long and hard over the weekend about my personal plan of action but I know I will be doing DDP Yoga and reintroducing my skipping rope from Monday.

I'm in [member=277]Chammy[/member] ! I need to lose a few stone to be 'perfect' in weight, ready for IVF.

I'll start tomorrow with a workout, can't start tonight as my belly is full of Dairy Milk! I was doing 35 miles a week before of jogging/walking before my foot operation which I built up to gradually. I'm not completely healed yet but I should be good with 20 minutes (1-2 miles depending on the pace/exercises I do alongside it) tomorrow.

What we going to do weekly updates, daily, whatever? I'll probably try and post when I workout just because it is nice to be able to be braggy about something healthy haha.

I always do my weigh ins on a Sunday so I'll start tomorrow with the exercise and do a weigh in Sunday. I've only gained a few of pounds back so far and I've been out of action 3 weeks and eating like a horse.

YAY!

I think it should be a post when you want, bragging posts are the best because you can read them back and keep motivated.

I'm starting Monday so I'll weigh in Monday, it's up to you how much you post about.

We can do this :D

Done my 20 minutes of work out. Didn't go too bad on my foot either.

I'll weigh myself tomorrow and see how I've done in the last week (I've still been weighing myself to try and keep an eye on it while not able to exercise as much). Hopefully I've at least stayed the same this week, but doubt it with the amount of rubbish I've eaten!

Nevermind, back to it now and that is what counts :)

I'll weigh again next Sunday but hope to post here when I've worked out (or every day) to try and stay motivated.

In a bid to 1) eat less 2) spend less money on food i have been having a go at eating mindfully lately. The idea is by paying more attention to what you eat you can eat just enough to take you from hunger to satisfaction and then stop. Im finding I can manage it OK in the house but so far not really when eating outside the home when I'm a lot more easily distracted. I need more practice at it I guess! I'll let you know how i get on!

Two great apps will help keep you on track and motivated - mapmywalk and myfitnesspal. The first uses GPS to literally map where you are walking. Walking is the best exercise - completely free and with the better weather just around the corner it's a good excuse to get out in the fresh air. Walking around 1hr 15 mins at 3.75 miles an hour will burn off about 400 calories - and you will feel fitter and healthier too.

Myfitnesspal is a calorie tracker. Dead easy to use.

I have MapMyRun (the free account) on my phone, I just need to use it; I have it connected to Bounts too ;)

I need to reinstall MFP and actually use it, I think I'm going to start to go easy on my carbs. They're not my best friend to begin with but are sooo nice haha, oh and actually have a lunch rather than popping to the kitchen every half an hour for a cracker or a couple of grapes.

Completed another workout today :) Only 20 minutes before dinner but that was good enough as worked hard, foots going ok too so far which is good.

I use a Jawbone to track my fitness. I burn a lot more than 400 calories per hour walking, but I'm a big fat lump, I also do 4-5 mph, 5 if I'm pushing it :)

I always find that I get a nice energy boost and feel better after I've forced myself to workout.

I'm working out with my husband (who is on days at the moment) so I will be working out tonight. I may do 15-20 minutes today though.

Do you have a yoga DVD/Youtube video you use [member=277]Chammy[/member] or do you just do your own thing?

I do DDP Yoga [member=920]katykicker[/member] it's a little more intense that normal Yoga as it was developed by a wrestler ;)

This is how I found out about this

Ahh wow, what a brilliant video! Looks like he has achieved a lot and the yoga seems great too! Who wouldn't want to be thinner and more flexible?!

I have been doing speed walking (with other exercises built in) from Leslie Swanson. I've currently got problems with my knees (I see physio) and a few other health problems. I started off with 5-10 minutes each day and have slowly built up. I've been surprised at how easy it has been to get back into it.

I haven't changed how I eat while exercising and still lost 18lbs in around 2 months, so must be good!

Do you follow Youtube videos for that then or have a DVD or something? I like the idea of yoga and I think it can be quite relaxing can't it? I'm always looking for some variety!

I wrote my reply while I watched it btw, I realise I've replied VERy fast lol.

I have the whole program on my PC, when I first found out about it the program was only available in America and was rather expensive so I'll let you work out how I got a copy ;)

Oh and my knees aren't great, the first time I gave this a go my knee was in agony. Doing one of the moves made them click and the pain just disappeared :D

I've got bursitis (inflammation of the knee) and arthritis in both knees. I was only diagnosed recently.

Since I've been working out (January time) I've had hardly any bad days and have had much better mobility. This is despite doing much more exercise than my physio recommended :)

Funny how you can fix a lot of things just moving around more hey :)

Am I the only soft shite who cried at that video?

First time I watched it balled my eyes out. Diamond Dallas takes Arthur everywhere now, there are loads of interviews with him on America TV shows and he give the presenters a quick demo with Arthur there showing them how it should be done.

I don't know why I keep putting off doing it, after I've done it I feel great...I'm so lazy LOL
