Full Time Living From Home

I don't even know where to start. I've said bits on various threads, that I got let go from the social media evaluator job with Lionbridge which devastated me as I really needed that money for food and I spent most of that week crying over it. I worked on it for a couple of months and loved it. I do adult texting as well but that's dried right up and I'm struggling to make anything per week here now. I am on various survey sites but apart from Prolific which I do sometimes get a tiny bit from the rest are just pennies, taking up my time. I'm just getting no break at all, it's been years of down issues, dogs operation, other one needing a ton of medical care specialist things, family with MS and COPD which is so hard, various health issues with me and my partner as well, and the constant real struggle for money, worrying where we're going to get the money to pay bills let alone eat. This isn't living.

I do Prolific, most of the other survey sites. I'm on Neevo but never get any work mostly. I do adult texting which has gone dead now but is what I was relying on. Since getting thrown off the Lionbridge job I've had nothing on there.

I can't do phone work due to not having a quiet space. But I'm willing to do anything else, I'm so desperate that I've considered OnlyFans but I'd probably get nothing on there as well. I have no money to do Matched betting plus I've never gambled and figures aren't my best skill either.

I don't know how to even start looking at doing anything on Etsy etc, I'd love to do that and a blog but am so lost with it all. You know where you're so overwhelmed that you don't know where to start or what to do. Plus I have no money, I can't even get my prescription this week I got my partners and my dogs instead. I'm letting them all down so badly, they don't deserve me making things even worse when things are already so hard money-wise and in life. I want to make good money from home and make them happy.

I really don't know what to do. What with the latest fuel price hike, I and my partner are struggling even now before that, he works full time outside and I'm just a total letdown. Dogs that have medical bills as well and prescriptions per month. We have prescriptions per month as well, four of them. I had Covid last year and have long Covid so find it hard to walk long distances etc, and I also have anxiety which isn't being helped with drowning financially. I'm just hopeless with it all. I've been trying to work online from home for so many years now and it's all just pennies, while other's do brilliantly at it all.

I just find that I spend my time applying to everything then not getting anywhere, that I'm spreading myself so thin with so many sites that I'm making pennies and not getting any actual money from it. Not getting a chance to do anything that works out for me.

I just don't know what to do anymore, I have zero income other than anything I can make online. Nothing but anxiety and feeling so down daily and a letdown. I feel sorry for my family being stuck with me when they should be enjoying life in a much better way. I'm really stuck and I just don't know what to do, but I know that I can't carry on as I have been, I really desperately need to make more money.

Earning additional money aside, have you tried speaking to your local Citizens Advice - just to see if they can offer you any help with any of your current financial worries?

Thank you @Jon for your kind reply. I did contact them late last year, I got information to apply for benefits etc but that's about it.

Totally stressed right now and don't know what to do. I'm sat at the laptop from when I wake up until when I go to bed, trying to do the bits I do and look for other things as well.

I just don't know what to do. I'm trying to find free coaching courses on how to earn online and really do it properly but I can't get anywhere with that. I'm trying to apply for anything I come across.

Me and my partner went to Aldi today after struggling to think of what we could afford to get to eat this weekend, standing there watching him pick through the discounted foods for one little pot of noodles and put it in the basket, I'm a total letdown, loser and I really need to do something and fast and get more money or we're not even going to be able to eat or pay bills, he's living a life of misery while he's working full time in a job that makes him unhappy, while I'm just chasing dreams of finding something good to do from home.

I'm going to apply for every Telsus thing I can find in a bit that I think I can do. I just don't know what else to do or try.

Since you need money NOW have you looked at near instant paying work like BemyEye, Roamler, Shepper, market force, ESA - mystery shopping basically

If sitting on the laptop from morning until night is barely bringing in any money then that probably isn’t the answer and is more likely adding to your stress right now

I was up at 4.30am as usual this morning and will be sat at the laptop all day. I'm trying to get what adult text messages come in and always looking for other jobs to do. I've got YouTube videos about how to make money doing data entry or anything. I just constantly feel I'm chasing my tail and getting nowhere. And that I find so many suggestions that I'm overwhelmed and not getting anywhere. I feel literally sick with worry about money things and not being able to pay for things.

Some say do a website, some say affiliate marketing, people per hour, fiver, YouTube, Neevo like sites which I only seem to get pennies from. I am in the house all the time, I have full time hours to commit to something it's just finding something that works and is real work with real money. I think that everyone on here making it work for them in the best way is an inspiration, I just wish that I was one of them too.

Thank you very much for that link, I didn't know there was anything like that. It's just so much with my prescription and then two for my partner and my dog is on lifetime medication that costs a lot per month, so it's usually my prescription that doesn't get bought because it's my fault with our current no money situation, my partner is working so hard for us just scraping by and I want that to change so much.

There is also crisp thinking. But like so much takes time to get onto a project. In the short term, are you eligible for any benefits? I work at my local food bank and there is no shame in using them to help whilst you wait to get more regular work. It will certainly take the strain off you. Your stress sounds off the scale which is not good for you or your family. Please try and be kinder to yourself, this isn't your fault, you are doing all the right things. Take care x

He's so supportive of me trying to find work online but I keep letting him down by not being able to make anything like the money we desperately need. Our dog has to go to the specialist again this month, there's prescriptions, bills, debts, food. I keep asking on things on Facebook groups but I'm just getting scammers when I ask for help.

Sadly with using the food banks, I'm diabetic so I'm limited in what I can eat. We got a box last year and most of the things I sadly couldn't but my partner did.

I'm just sick of living this way, it's been for far too long. I really don't know what to do, I just want to make my own money and make my families life better without all this stress and worry and it's huge right now.

I can guarantee 100% that your partner and dogs would not be better off without you, please don' think that way. There is also red wigwam but that is temp work, are you able to work offline or only interested in work you can at home online?

I'm sorry I haven't replied until now. Thank you all so much for your messages, I really do appreciate them so much.

I've downloaded the apps but so far nothing in my area, I wish they had jobs on where I could just go and take pictures of things, someone mentioned bus stops but I can't see any of that. I was looking for online work because I suffer with anxiety and have long Covid as well, so really don't know what jobs outside of the home I could do right now.

I've just applied for Universal Credit, but I don't think that I will get much even though my partner is just above the minimum wage and his wage is due to drop in April. I've been told to get a sick note from the doctors, but I don't know. Benefit wise I think that I'll get very little and I need a full-time wage to make a difference to our lives.

We couldn't afford food this week or our medication. And on top of everything else my father in law died yesterday, I feel immense guilt about not being better at earning money so my partner could have started his driving lessons again and we could have gone back down to see him more. I feel it's all my fault that lost time and now it's too late. I don't want it to be too late for him seeing others in his family, or my family who aren't well either. I want a full-time wage, to end all this constant stress, to start his driving lessons and to live instead of what we're doing now.

The only thing I have right now is an adult chat position on which there are no customers. I applied for Texting Factory but am unsure if I should or not, plus I don't know what payment method to do with either, PayPal doesn't allow adult content payments, but some say they wouldn't know. And Bitsafe I don't know about as there is an Inactivity fee for an account inactive for more than 3 months.

I've been looking to see if I can find any online chat agents, online moderators, online customer service and social media etc, but nothing yet. I can't do phone work as I don't have a quiet space, but I can do online work.

I was also looking at KDP book publishing, low content books some say they get a passive income from doing that.

I just don't know what to do to be honest. I'm stuck, in a great deal of stress and anxiety and just want to work to earn money to try and help our life be better. I just can't seem to get any breaks.

Also, if you're at your laptop all day, Prolific can be pretty OK for quick money. This month, I've made almost £70 and you can cash out @£5. It may help a bit with food at least. It's fairly lively at the moment.

Hi Angel, I hope you can get the free prescriptions that others have mentioned. I get them and I'm on tax credits, the entitledto.com benefit calculator will probably show you if you can get them. I keep seeing a lot of food jobs on Roamler, I don't know if they're financially viable, someone on here will know. From a quick glance it looks like you have to buy a food item in a supermarket and review it in exchange for a refund?

I have saved the PDSA site yes, I'm not on benefits right now though. Sadly one of my dogs can't go to a normal vet, he needs to go to a specialist miles away from where we live, he's meant to go for his checkup this month but right now there's no way we can get there. He's only got one eye and has Lens Luxation in his remaining one, is on daily drops twice daily for life.

I am on Prolific as well, I love it but lately, I'm not getting as many surveys, if I'm lucky I get about £20-30 a month.

Thank you, I've just done the benefits check again and it's saying it estimates total benefits per week to be £36, no housing benefit as the rent is more than we're allowed.

I hope that we will get free prescriptions though, not sure if my partner would get them as well seeing as he's working. But anything is better than nothing.

I would say most people on here you see earning money in the monthly challenge thread etc aren't just doing one job. It tends to be like 5-10 companies they do bits and bobs for so it might be worth you looking at companies you can do a bit here, a bit there etc and it all adding up if that makes sense!

You might find that applying for the £30 you are entitled to in benefits will trigger the free prescription costs. It's something I've never applied for, it just comes through the post automatically. Good luck.
