Hello

Anyone who does Internet Marketing here know of any good up to date Link Building article? Most of the stuff I found online (step by step things) are pretty outdated, like 2012 or something like that

Thank you

This article is a couple of weeks old and features some pretty experienced SEO people. I personally wouldn't touch the PBN strategy with a bargepole since it flies in the face of Google's no-deception policy. I also don't understand why Google would value backlinks from your comments ID link? http://www.humanproofdesigns.com/what-7-experts-say-about-advanced-link-building-strategies/

You don't need lots of backlinks to rank well, but a few high quality ones are useful. Many purist whit what experts say to just create quality content, get involved in relevant forums and G+ communities etc and just wait for natural backlinks to appear over time.

Thank you for the link (nice pun...)

main advantage of proactive link building (I believe) is the fact that you get targeted traffic fairly quickly. While the strategy you suggest will take longer

Just don't get too impatient and start paying for crappy third world backlinks and spammy bookmarking services.

Not sure how the backlink strategies will get targeted traffic? I thought it was more about page rank etc.

Which strategies are you considering?

I was considering this one, I still haven't done it though, mainly cos it's a bit old and I'm still going through the Udemy course you linked

Have a read at the articles, Max is actually a real life acquaintance of mine, I can't ask him for pointers though cos he's very busy

the main takeaway from his articles is that if you're getting commission from selling TV equipment and you get a backlink from ITV or CNN, that is going to be a very powerful and targeted one,

Getting backlinks from a few high authority websites is obviously good for your rankings. Getting them
is the hard bit. My own strategy is to just get my head down and write. Good content without back links can still get you to page 1 and, if your content is good, backlinks should come naturally. I just got a backlink for my iOS site because a forum owner read one of my posts and pinned it to his "iOS programming blogs" thread. So, I think that people should concentrate on writing and sharing. I don't have any high quality backlinks for KSF at the moment but it doesn't stop me from ranking. I suspect that Google will never remove backlinks as a ranking metric, but the trend is moving away from backlinks being the most important factor.

If you have a backlink from CNN but Google notices that the visitors to the page only stay for 10 seconds before leaving, that backlink will be pretty worthless because Google will know that it is not what their users wanted to see, despite the fact that you have a backlink from a high authority site.
