Firstly - Apologies - This has probably been covered on here before, but the site is getting big now and I wanted to try and get the latest information.

I am curious about hosting and new domains.

I went on to hostgator to have a look and although I was being quoted £3.69 a month by the time they added in all their add-ons and gave me the hatchling 36 month option I was getting a final bill of $182.50

Is this correct?


Do I need to take the add-ons?
Do I have to pay for it all up front?

I see there is an option to pay monthly and knock off all the add-ons but what would you suggest?

On top of that - who do you think is the best to go with just now?

Just want to get my head clear before I move ahead,

Why are others so expensive then?

Yes you can do everything you want with the hosting, it comes with cpanel so you can just install wordpress, joomla or whatever you want with the click of a button

still a very good price for a years worth of hosting + domain

although obviously if you can get it cheaper elsewhere then by all means go to them.

Their support is top notch, I used them again this weekend for some help I needed and get replies back within 30 minutes.
