This was posted by a friend of mine on Facebook and it's a very interesting thing to think about. I've copied and pasted her post here to see if anyone wants to join in ^_^

Every birthday, you get five tokens to improve yourself with. Each token is worth the same amount, not a large amount, but a small yet noticable amount. They can be added to your skills, your health and your looks. You could use them to be a little better at cooking, to be a little more youthful, a little better at absorbing information, a little better at reading music... e.t.c. You can combine the tokens, for instance you could use all five on becoming generally more athletic.
If you use one token to generally 'be better at German' the one token amount will be thinned across grammar, speaking, listening, vocabulary...e.t.c. The result would be less obvious than if you were to say 'German grammar' where the whole token amount would be used in improving your ability at German grammar specifically.
They can't be used on materials (you can't make yourself a little richer) or fantasy skills (you can't make yourself fly) and you can't change the past. You can only use them to slightly alter your present self. Remember you get five tokens every birthday.
What five things would you use your next birthday's tokens on?

I said that I'd use all 5 to help combat my anxiety as it's the source of my unhappiness BUT putting health issues aside I would probably put a couple (2) into my singing voice - just so it's bearable for others to hear ;) I would use one to help talk to my children, talking to babies is much much harder than I first thought - some people are brilliant at it! I'd like to improve my handwriting somewhat so one there and the last one would go into my general creativity I think :)

I'd spend all 5 on improving my driving skills as not being able to drive is the biggest thing holding me back in life and would improve my career prospects considerably.

Ooh, I like this a lot.

1 - I'd swap my nose.
2 - actually, my nose would need at least two.
3 - being more cheery.
4 - developing a career, one single career, not fluctuating day-to-day on what I want to be when I grow up.
5 - Self-respect.

Aww, you should go for driving lessons. It will change your life being able to drive. What stops you going for it?

I've spent a lot of money on learning to drive! Should have booked a holiday of a lifetime instead! I am just terrible at driving. Failed my first test before I left the test centre car park (I am not kidding) and should have taken that as an omen. Thinking of maybe trying an automatic, but paying for my daughters driving lessons at the moment so will have to wait!

One on weight loss I'm happy with the way I look but to improve my long term health prospects as its the one thing my doctor always pulls me up about

One on becoming more organised and efficient so I could achieve more in a day

One on being more relaxed, happy and positive about my future

One on health and happiness for all my family and friends as that would also make me happier

One on making the rest of the world a bit brighter there's so much suffering and violence and poverty it would be nice to be able to take some of that away being able to do so would make me happier too

Right,

1) First one would be spent on my weight, it's one thing that I need to change.
2) Second would go along with number 1 in that I'd want to improve my fitness to keep number 1 going
3) Improve my confidence, I know I can do stuff but I convince myself that I can't. I've gone to apply for jobs and courses so many times but managed to tell myself I'm just not good enough.
4) Ditch my procrastination which would hopefully boost my motivation ;) I may be cheating with that one though.
5) Learn to drive, or at least eradicate my fear of learning to drive and driving.

I would spend 3 tokens on remembering to take tablets ::) ::) I take 13 tablets a day and today I've remembered 0. It's a wonder I'm not ill the amount I've forgotten lately.
I would spend the other 2 tokens on memory as I had to come back and edit this because I had forgotten to write the second part!
