Howdy all.
I wouldn't normally put a post up like this but after such a long absence I wanted to say hello :)
I kind of disappeared off the face of the moneyshed cliff a few months ago. My lovely dad got diagnosed with terminal cancer so I became his carer and looking after him all day meant that most of what I was doing had to stop.
I pleaded with Leapforce to let me have some time off as I had only just passed the exams and didn't have the time I needed to spend on keeping my knowledge up and also doing the required units. They said no so I ended up losing that. I was gutted as my reviews were really good before dad got ill. I also had to stop my little ebay experiment as I did not have time to list, let alone go out and source. I carried on with the matched betting and have done ok with that.

Anyway, after 8.5 months, my lovely pa left us last week. I am now trying to throw myself into making money as I really, really need the pennies. I will be scouring this site and joining the challenge again in June. Fingers crossed I can find some good money making ideas.

Have a lovely day everyone :)

Am so sorry to hear about your Dad @Leeceford

Take it easy, the money is always going to be there to earn. Leapforce are just being difficult, it's a shame but you can always go back to them at a later date i imagine or work for one of the other firms offering similar work.

Thanks @Jon ...as I don't have a 'real' job anymore I do not really have the luxury of being able to take any more time out. Pa wouldn't want me to anyway. I have just done a couple of Prolific survey's...can't remember the last time I logged on there lol. Also hoping that BeMyEye turns out to be ok. I used to do loads of jobs on T360. I am not sure the kids have missed being dragged out on blades missions mind you!

So sorry to hear about your Dad @Leeceford. You've always come across as a strong and positive person so I am sure you will cope fine but you can always 'talk' to someone on here if you need to. I don't log in every day but you can always pm me.

Hopefully you will find plenty on here to keep you occupied and earning. I think Leapforce are well out of order personally and would not want to work for a company like that.

Like Jon says, take it easy too and look after yourself and your kids :)

Thank you all for your kind words.

Just listed one of my daughter's dresses on ebay, ease myself back in and all that. Might as well try and make some money from the decluttering!

So sorry to hear about your Dad. Think Leapforce were very unfair. Go easy on yourself. Wanted to send you a virtual bouquet but didn't know how to do it.

@Leeceford is there anything you would like to do now to earn money online that maybe you didn't try before?

Anything and everything lol. I'm not really sure where to start, guess my brain is all a bit mush at the minute.
I think I'd like to find something else, that like Leapforce isn't pennies so I will need to look into the other Leapforce type places. I need to read the whole site to see what there is out there.

Of course blades would be today, I have to go to Butlins today (great timing) for a football tournament and we are leaving as soon as we get the kids from school.

Funeral is Monday, I am doing the tribute at the service and I am dreading it so I will be back Tuesday reading to make some money!

Hope you managed the tribute okay @Leeceford. I agree with katykicker - don't do too much too soon, your head will be 'mush' for a while yet so probably not the time to attempt anything new which needs a lot of concentration.

Best to do the bare minimum needed with things you can do on auto-pilot if possible and spend this time with your family and to look after yourself.

Take care x

So sorry to hear about your dad. That was a very disappointing response from Leapforce but cerrtainly worth another try there. My mother in law died last month with cancer and my scores with Leapforce plummeted but when I explained I did get a sympathetic email back. They still restricted me for quality though and will probably kick me out at the next review! I have worked for Lionbridge in the past in the days when you could only do 11 months so they are also worth a try. Take care of yourself.

I specifically told them why my scores had gone from excellent to crap and said if I could just have a little bit of time, then I could get back to how I was. They just said they could not give me time off and within a week or so I was booted off.

Sorry about your mother in law

It went well thank you. Bloody hard but I got through it.

I have been doing the bare minimum for ages as I was so focused on pa, that really everything else could do one. I NEEEEEEEED the money now though so really have to get on with it.

Thank you for your message

Hi @Leeceford, sending hugs :) Is there anything that you 'need' the money for that you can cut back on or find it cheaper elsewhere to take the pressure off yourself of trying to earn as much, if that is a better approach?

If so, post on here and we can try and help you find answers if possible.
