After a disastrous start to the first Jamberry thread here is a more informative thread, Jamberry does have a very complex and layered commission plan so I'm hoping I have included enough info - if not then please feel free to ask me or Sally any questions.

About Jamberry Nails

Love pretty nails but hate the drying time, the chipping and the smudging? Then Jamberry Nails might just be for you.

“In 2010, a slow and expensive visit to a nail salon sparked the idea for sisters Lyndsey, Christy, and Keri to create a line of do-it-yourself nail wraps. Today, Jamberry is bringing you their creation: one-of-a-kind nail wraps that truly represent your signature style!

Jamberry nail wraps are made with durable materials, so smudges and streaks are never an issue, and can last for up to two weeks on fingernails and four weeks on toes. With over 300 nail wraps in an incredible variety of designs, you can customize, pair, and layer Jamberry nail wraps to create a look that’s all your own—all from the comfort of your home.” – Jamberry Website About

mummys-watermarked.jpg

What are Jamberry Nail Wraps?

Simple, they are a vinyl nail wrap that gives you salon nails in your own home. They take moments to apply, last 1-2 weeks and do not chip! They are also cruelty free and vegan friendly. They come in a range of over 300 designs (in the UK) with more being added all the time and each sheet will do 2 manicures, 2 pedicures and have left over for accent nails.

How do you apply Jamberry Nails?

Jamberry wraps are heat and pressure activated. You simply warm them up either under the Jamberry mini-heater or a hairdryer, press them on to your nails and apply pressure before re-warming them and pushing down again to create a water-tight seal. There are many application videos on YouTube and I will do my own when I next change my wraps.

There are other steps such as filing and cleaning your nails with an alcohol wipe beforehand, trimming the wraps to length and filing off the excess but you get the general idea.

How do you remove Jamberry Nails?

Basically the same way you apply them. They are durable and extremely resilient but when you have to remove them it takes minutes. Simple warm them up again under the heater, hairdryer or I like to do it while in the bath. Then using your thumb nail or an orange stick, work from the side of your nail (never the top or bottom) and slowly prize them off using an alcohol wipe or polish remover. They come off leaving no damage to your nails and ready for your next set to be applied.

How much to Jamberry Wraps Cost?

Jamberry wraps cost £15 in the UK plus p&p – they do a minimum of 2 manicures and 2 pedicures, with spares for accent nails. That £3.75 per application. The p&p is £2.99 for wraps and £6.99 for any of the tools such as the mini-heater or application kit – free shipping is available on orders over £135.

Do Jamberry do any offers?

YES! Jamberry has a permanent “Buy 3 and Get 1 Free” offer – this means you get four wraps and they work out as £11.25 each. This is a great deal if you fancy splitting it with a friend or family member, or if you simply can’t decide what you want. There are also exclusive monthly wrap available each month – so make sure you grab that while you can.

Do you have to buy the mini-heater/wipes/application kit/cuticle oil?

NO! You do not need to buy these things from Jamberry in order to apply the wraps. That’s a great thing about Jamberry, you can use what you already have in the house or anything you prefer. The Jamberry nail care line was developed to compliment the wraps so for example, the mini-heater – it gives you a free hand to work with rather than having to juggle a hairdryer and a wrap. In my experience it is much easier to just have one but you can apply them without just fine. I also have to say that the cuticle oil smells delicious and makes my fingers look fab.

Be sure to go check out my review (http://www.chammyirl.co.uk/beauty/jamberry-nails-review/) I had planned to write it before becoming a consultant (not that I actually planned to become one) and if you have any questions then please feel free to drop me a message at info@chamsjams.co.uk

When you join Jamberry, you become one of their Consultants and are offered a great commission plan as well as many monthly incentives; either from the company or your teams upline. If you love having pretty nails and you like the idea of selling them then read on, here is all the information you need if you’re looking to join Jamberry.

The Commission

Now the Jamberry commission structure can be a little difficult to get your head round but once you have let it sink in it really isn’t that complicated – it just has many layers. There are five ways for a Consultant to earn from Jamberry;

Retail and Personal Sales Bonus: This is the basic way to earn, selling the wraps to customers and earning commission for the sales – plus bonuses for larger sales.

Level Overrides: This is where building a team can benefit you – you can earn between 3% and 24% of your teams sales.

Fast Start Bonus: This is a timed bonus scheme for the first three months of your Jamberry life – bonuses paid upon completion of specific targets such as number of parties, amount of sales and sponsored team members.

Advancement Bonus and Matching Bonus: These bonuses are earned when you or your recruit meet certain ranks determined by your sales volume.

Generation Overrides: This is earning 2% of the sales volume of the teams in your downline – only for Team Managers.

compensation-5-steps.png

In total there are 13 roles within Jamberry, ranging from Consultant all the way up to Elite Executive. On this post I’m going to be manly concentrating on the first 7 levels up to Team Manager.

As a Consultant you start on 30% commission of all sales, if you sponsor somebody while being a consultant you will then earn 3% of their sales – no targets to meet at this level, no minimum sales. Once you have made £200 in sales, known as PRV (Personal Retail Volume) you move up to Advanced Consultant and with this you get a 3% commission rise and earn 5% from your team sales. As there are many steps to these roles I will include the commission plans below – if you have any questions about it then please drop me an email to info@chamsjams.co.uk and I’ll be happy to go into more depth for you.

As you get further up “the ladder” you have targets that you and your team have to meet such as Team Retail Volume (TRV) and being active (achieving 200 PRV for so many months in a row)

commission-plan.png

retail-and-person-sales.png

Fast Start is a timed bonus plan aimed at motivating you to build your business and jump in from the start – additional payments are made when you meet specific targets within the time frame. So for the first period you have the month you joined and then one (so I have April and May) to host a qualifying party (£150 of sales+), have a PRV of 500 and sponsor another person on to my team. I’d then get £65 in product credit to spend)

Fast-start.png

Rank advancement also comes if you or a member of your team move up the ranks within a certain period of time.

rank-advancement-bonus.png

You then get deeper into the commission plan which has another six roles which come with bigger targets to fill – more about these levels can be found at www.chamsjams.co.uk then clicking “Join” on the tab at the top.

What is a Sponsor?

A sponsor is basically your team leader, you join Jamberry under them and in return they guide you through getting started and beyond. Choosing the right sponsor is a key step in joining Jamberry because like with any company your can have good ones and bad ones – read my “Choosing The Right Sponsor Post” to see why this is so important. A good sponsor will listen to how you would like to run your business and put your wants first; they wont pressure you to go in a direction you don’t want. My sponsor is a friend who I met through Younique – I actually helped her when she was in need of help because her sponsor wasn’t in slightest bit helpful. We now help each other through Jamberry.

I am currently looking to sponsor anyone interested in joining Jamberry so drop me a message for a chat.

If you have any questions about joining then email me at info@chamsjams.co.uk

FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: I am a guy, am I allowed to join Jamberry?

A: YES! You are more than welcome to join up to Jamberry.

Q: How old do you need to be to sell Jamberry products?

A: You need to be 18 or over to join Jamberry.

Q: The kit you get looks amazing, can I buy that without having to actually sell anything.

A: Yes, I welcome “kit-nappers”. If you let me know that it is just the kit you are interested in then I’ll make a note not to bug you unless you change your mind; and many do. You get the exclusive Consultant discount for 12 months from joining that is discounted at purchase – rather than waiting for your commission.

Q: I’ve seen the nail wraps cheaper on eBay, how can you be selling it for more?

A: Simple answer to this is that any product found on eBay, Amazon, Gumtree or your local Facebook selling page is most likely to be fake, especially if it is cheaper. Jamberry Consultants are not allowed to sell their products on 3rd Party sites such as those mentioned above and if they are selling it cheaper than the retail price then they are loosing money. Please do not risk buying any of our products from those sites as the ingredients aren’t regulated and you do not know what is in them or what damage they could cause your nails.

Q: Why can’t you sell/advertise Jamberry products on Facebook?

A: It helps deter fakes knowing that the genuine products can only be bought via a Consultant and their website.

Q: When did Jamberry launch?

A: As Jamberry are still launching across the world I will update this answer with each country as it launches.

USA: Website launched June 2011
Canada: December 2013
Australia: October 2015
New Zealand: October 2015
UK & Ireland: April 2016

Well, I really enjoyed my launch party - I had a nice turn out and orders are starting to come in ready for my bulk order tomorrow :D I also have a lot of enquiries about them to purchase later on in the month (people who get paid mid-month). My 7 day challengers are reporting back and happy with the results and my mum loves hers still (which makes me smile). Very happy Chammy at the moment :D

Just realised it's been AGES since I've updated this post.

Well, I now have 2 Jambabies (recruits) with a few others interested and it's proving very popular (a lot more than Younique). I have a customer who is so addicted to her wraps that she now has at least 9 month's worth of wrap to use and will be joining me in September. Even Aaron is impressed with how popular this product is which is saying something - the cynic he is ;)

The incentives are great and there seems to be something every month for consultants to aim for - this month it's an exclusive wrap for whoever joins up and has a sponsor with £200 in sales (200prv) - 2 days into the month and I'm already half way there ;)

I've made my start up costs back already plus the savings I'm getting on my own wraps helps even more.

So excited to see where each month takes me.

I now have a team of 5, 4 are my recruits and 1 is one of their's - I'm a Jam-ma (Jamberry grandma haha). I've had a couple of enquiries from people interested in joining later in the month and I have a few parties booked in.

I've now started a separate Jamberry blog, I've decided to take it away from ChammyIRL so I can post more often (weekly TBT, monthly SSE etc). With this I'm also in team making mode - time to move away from my sponsor (only in team-wise) and try being my own team's leader so I'm currently working on The Chamberries ;)

I have a goal in mind, a level in my sights so I'm hoping to hit it by the end of the year - taking it one step at a time. If only Jamberry had launched here last year I might have not looked at Younique ::)

Partnered up with a local charity this week to offer them a permanent wrap - I donate the whole of my commission from the wrap to the charity. They are over the moon as they only set up at the end of last year and raise money for the local charities that help with terminally ill children/babies (I had a friend who was supported by one of the charities they fundraise for). Unlike my temporary charity wrap, this will be on a permanent basis. I'll also be attending their fundraisers where I can, starting with one on the 11th September (day after the SHO-MOs in London  ).

Hi Chammy,

I would love to hear how profitable this has been for you and how much work you put in. I am about to try my first sample.

xx

Hey [member=856]gembaxter25[/member] , I hope you like your sample - which did you get?

Profit-wise (while trying not to break my agreement) I'm in profit and have been for the last 2 month ;) I'm currently heading towards a couple of £100 in profit. Last month I saw my first bonus for having a team which was nice (I've never earned from my team with Y) - it wasn't much but that is why sales are more important than team building haha I'm still only really hobby earning which I'm starting to move away from because I'd like to hit the higher ranks by Christmas.

The summer has been hard so far but it always is for all sales, people are on holiday, kids are off and they have uniforms to buy so money and time is spoken for. New catalogue coming next month which there is a lot of excitement about and some of the new designs are GORGEOUS!

I vary with how much effort I put in - initially there is a lot of work getting your page set up, going through images you like for parties etc but once you have done that then you basically have a script if you want to run a party so you just copy, paste and personalise for each party. Some days I'll put a few hours in to making and scheduling posts, sharing to groups, sorting out games for my VIPS but other days I do nothing ::) Consistency isn't my strong point lol

I enjoy chatting to people about it and making posts so I don't notice the time I spend, plus I started the blog for it. I'm not earning for example minimum wage but I'm treating it as a hobby because I enjoy it - I just earn for doing it, unlike gaming for example. Once Eban is back at school and normality has resumed I'm going to be hitting it hard, I have my first stall booked in at the start of September which I'm looking forward to.

I really, REALLY love the wraps (and some of the accessories) - It was my sister's wedding yesterday (which is why I'm only just replying) and this morning I've immediately covered up my acrylic nails with jams because I prefer them. Loving them means I don't mind spending ages chatting to someone about them even if I don't make a sale, or spending time making up samples to send out to people - the more people I can convert to jam junkies the happier I am (because I have people to obsess about them with).

If you have any other questions you know where I am :D

Thank you for getting back to me! Hope the wedding went well xx

I have a couple of different designs. One flowery one which I have fallen in love with already, pink and black stripes and a couple of others. I have had a look on my friend's page and have fallen in love with a fair few designs. They look great for my daughter too who loves having her nails done but they chip within hours. She is a girly tom boy!

If I do it then I just need to make enough to cover the price of my kit. After that it becomes discounted product if I don't hit it. I did think of a stall.

I want the Disney ones and cannot wait for those to come over from the US. I have to say I am quite excited about the product. It might see me actually have nice nails which I love to have but cannot afford salon prices every fortnight and when I do them at home they smudge or chip within days because of my day job...and being a mummy.

I heard from my friend how she was doing but I wondered how a wider range of consultants did. Do you tend to do parties?

xx

The husband basically made me join because it was going to be cheaper to be a consultant, even if it was only for my own jams ;)

I've done a couple of parties which weren't great but a party is only as good as the hostess and guest - if they don't interact then it goes no where. I've just set on up this evening where the "live" event is on Friday - so fingers crossed for this hostess haha I also have a potential home party in September which I think will go well because people can physically see them and interact with me...though that's not to say online parties don't work - they do, just with the right people haha.

To earn your kit back it's only 27 wraps (or equivalent such as heaters etc) which is pretty easy to sell, especially with the Buy 3 Get 1 Free offer, I have one customer who buys 4 every month haha Also a hell of a lot of samples to throw at people, I'm no where near ready to buy any more yet ;)

I really think this is one of those MLM/DS companies where - if you don't get anywhere then hey-ho, you've saved money with the kit and you get a great discount on the product. If you wanted to just buy your own then you can have the 30% knocked off at purchase rather than waiting for commission (though you don't get any prv - for commission increases, promotions, incentives etc).

We have a UK event happening in September and we're hoping the Disney wraps will be announced, we know they are close to finalising the contracts so it shouldn't be long and when they arrive sales are going to explode - I have customers who are only interested in the Disney ones ;D

Oh, and the wedding went well. I'm shattered through. [member=856]gembaxter25[/member]

How did Friday's live event go? [member=277]Chammy[/member]

I am seriously considering this. I am really impressed with my trial. Did a bit of research and found most bad reviews are to do with them not lasting which can be down to application and the type of wrap used. I don't want to be one of those people who is pushy and irritating on facebook. I am genuinely pleased with a product and when the disney ones are released I may completely lose my sh*t!

Maybe I just give it a go and see what happens.

That is my only concern and to be honest the only thing that has stopped me thus far xx

you could always make another facebook profile, one that you could use to autopost about jamberry none stop to the 'stay at home mum' groups or whatever market it is you are going to go after

Then you will be able to keep your existing friends on you main profile ;)

That is a good idea. I was thinking of "launch party" with friends as I think quite a few people I know would like it and go from there. I am just not salesy. Keep swinging between do it and don't do it xx
