My laptop keyboard has reached the stage where some of the keys don't function (getting round that by using the virtual keyboard). May be time for a new plug-in keyboard because the ones I own have seen better days. Bit of a nuisance. Still it's given me the kick in the pants to get familiar with the snipping tool as one of the keys I'm having a problem with is the printscreen tool which I use quite often for proofs for doing microtasks in Timebucks GPT site (very much a beer money site but better than nowt). It's no secret that I'm likely one of if not THE oldest visitor to this site - I had a part-time job (outside my main job) as a barmaid in 1979 and remember somebody moaning about beer going up to 50p (I can't remember whether it was 50p a half or 50p a pint).

Rich, did you start on Etsy before everybody plus his or her Great Auntie Maud migrated there? I'm not belittling your talents which I'm sure are genuine but some of these platforms are so over-crowded, I wonder how people stand out from the crowd.

I started in 2020 mate, I think it has become more crowded since then but I have a few popular items thankfully and I’m not boasting in any way but I do think that I give great customer service which also helps, because lots of my customers come back and buy again.

I don’t think it’s too late for anyone to start now.

I certainly remember the 82p pint of bitter in my first year at music college in 1987, so I reckon that was 50p a pint in 1979. Those were the days - you could get drunk for a fiver. I think I had my first paper round in 1982 and the £5 a week seemed like an absolute fortune.
