Question / Discussion KDP Formatting - Can Anyone Help Please?

Morning,

I've put together my first puzzle book and designed it for 8.5 x 11"

When I upload, I keep getting bouncebacks from Amazon about the formatting. My images reach the end of the page and I've added a texture, so I need bleed on there, but I'm at a loss as to how I'm going to get this book published.

I downloaded Amazon's calculator and added all of the suggested margins, but still no dice. I even added 10mm to all sides and no dice.

The latest bounceback states:

Interior​

• Add 0.125" (3.2 mm) to your book's page width and 0.25" (6.4 mm) to the page height to ensure that the images in your manuscript extend beyond the edge of the page. Once you have added the size, extend any images or backgrounds that you want to reach all the way to the edge of the page 0.125” (3.2 mm) beyond the trim line. This prevents manufacturing issues when the file is trimmed to size. See examples PDF page(s) 1 - 3, 33 - 35, 72 - 74.
• Increase your inside margins so that content isn't obscured when the book is bound. See examples on PDF page(s) 3, 36, 38, 70. Learn how to calculate margins.
• Increase your outside margins so that content isn't trimmed when your book is printed. The outside, top, and bottom margin requirements are 0.25" (6.35mm) for books without bleed and 0.375" (9.52mm) for books with bleed. See examples on PDF page(s) 2 - 3, 5, 70, 72, 74. So, pages 74-75 look like this at the top and therefore I'm assuming this is the issue:



Does everything have to go inside the dotted lines? I must have missed something, but I've been trying to get this approved for 3 weeks and I'm losing my mind.

Didn't want to read and run - as I got here after you'd found your answer - but bloomin well done. I did a wordsearch book after having good success with log books and undated journals. The creation of the wordsearch book nearly broke me! Never ever again. Thankfully I have sold a few but no where near enough to make up for the time I put in so far. But that's the joy of KPD over time I am sure it will repay me and without having to anything extra in!
