Sorry if this isn't the right sub section for this, if it isn't please direct me to somewhere else I could get help. A couple of years ago I did a course to learn how to start and make money from a link selling blog. Felt it was a bit of a con once I'd joined as a lot of the people doing well already had established blogs so their DA was pretty decent, there also weren't many/any starting from scratch with zero social media like me.

I set the blog up but found a lot of the sites that offered jobs always requested a certain number of social media followers as part of the brief. I also couldn't get Google Analytics on my blog, even my tech savvy husband couldn't do it so no idea what I was doing wrong there, I'm no Luddite either really, just literally couldn't do it. I also couldn't increase my DA despite link sharing with other blogs and following all the advice in the group. I got all my jobs from Intellifluence and made about £90.

I then gave up as it just seemed like a non starter and there was nothing I could do to get jobs. The course was paid for and I couldn't afford to keep subscribing when the subscription was costing me more than I was making.

I thought I'd turned Namecheap auto renewal off but apparently I didn't and it's just renewed for another year for £42. It must have done the same last year too without me realising. As it's renewed I just thought I'd check is there any way at all I could make money from this blog or is it a non starter? Is there anything I can do at all? My financial situation has changed recently from a bit scary to desperate so I'm just checking if it's an avenue worth exploring one final time.

I know you have the Totally Blogging guide on here but I think that's for what I'd call real blogging whereas mine was set up more for link selling which is slightly different.

Sorry to have rambled, I didn't want to give too little information but I've probably rambled and given too much.

Thank you so so much for reading and for any advice you can offer
