Looking for cheap accommodation as close to Leeds City Centre as possible

My eldest who is currently in university not far from us (Cardiff) is going to be staying in Leeds during September and October for 6 weeks as part of his uni placement. He is studying stage management, so will be spending most of his time at the theatre.

We are trying to find cheap, suitable accommodation for his stay which as having somewhere to sleep, he needs access to a kitchen and a laundrette.

He is coming up for 3 days for a visit in August to meet the team and hopefully can have a good look around if he gets time.

We have booked him into Ibis for the 2 nights(lovely and cheap ) but was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere that rents rooms out for 6 weeks or if anyone knows of any good discount codes/sites anything that will help us get him a good deal in a B&B or anywhere suitable. He has been awarded a bursary but it would just about 15-20 nights at the Ibis out of the 6 weeks- depending on the rates at the time (which is a huge help) .

Any help/ideas would be much appreciated

The Ibis isn't THAT close to Leeds grand theatre if I am honest

There is a travellodge on vicar lane that is near enough at the back of theatre land

Thanks, Im not sure where the Ibis is, to be honest ,as up until yesterday I had left my husband and son book the Ibis and train tickets for the short stay.
I did look at travelodge site yesterday to try to get a quote but we are going to have to email them as the site will not let you look at 6 week bookings.
