Just thought I would share something I did last week.

I guess we have all seen and may even be members of the "buy and sell" groups on Facebook, I even admin one of them :)

Anyway whilst browsing through a local one to me the other day, wishing I could afford this that and the other, I came across 30 xbox360 games for £30 well i'm no game wizard but having children and having to buy them the games I knew that these games were worth more than £1 each.

So I made contact and purchased all the games, I then took 4 games out that my children wanted and sold the other 26 on a different local group for £70

I was well chuffed not only did I provide my kids with some new games thus keeping them upstairs instead of annoying me downstairs but i also made a profit, and the bets bit was there was no fee's for using the Facebook platform.

Just thought I would share that with you, its possible to earn money online whilst browsing Facebook :)

Cheers
Mark

I'm going to bring this thread back to top. The topic but not really the content is related.

Someone I know runs a Facebook page promoting different activities. She doesn't sell anything from it, I really doubt she gets paid by the companies and on the face of things there's no money changing hands. I seen a similar page though with 300k likes and lots of activity.

Would someone be earning money doing something like that? Advertising?

I have never trusted groups similar to this. I have heard a lot of scams come from doing this kind of thing.

May I ask though, how did it work? Did you send the person the money via PP and then he sent the games?

I am seeing more and MORE of this going on now.

I can see Facebook taking over Gumtree if it wanted to.

Seems to be VERY popular in 'mum facebook groups' to sell your old baby/toddler items on there.

Clearly it is a captive market.

If I had baby stuff to sell I would join a baby/mum facebook group and sell the stuff.
If I go on gumtree I am hoping that people find my item
