I haven't big issue with age really, but I am old enough to have given birth to some of them, and they are in charge of me!!

Makes me feel very very old, which to them I am. I once had one of the "youths" explain facebook to me.

If age isn't the issue when why don't you apply for a position of similar standing, or, why have THEY got to where you want to be?

My inflexible hours due to fitting with a family rule me out. But if I was more flexible I wouldn't be there as the pay is so rubbish.

hmm, tricky one. How much longer do you think you need to do the family/inflexible hours thing for? Until they go to middle school?

It may just be a case of 'sucking it up' sadly

Though I do, to some, degree dictate when I work, and every one I work with is lovely, so it isn't a terrible, just makes me feel ancient. There is another mummy, she is 12 months older than me, we spend our time discussing bad behaviour of children, diets, and hits songs from the mid 90's. Same story though, stuck with fitting a part time job round a family.

But yes have to wait until my little uns are less little.

My mum (who has been a teacher all her life) stopped for 4/5 years to bring me up until I was at Middle school then returned to Teaching.

I suppose that profession isn't very 'company specific' in that you can take you trade to any school and ply it so its easier to leave and return to work without maybe feeling you have lost years off your career

You should get yourself on Onepoll - the best demographic appears to be mothers who work full time, drive, smoke and have pets. So if you are any of that, you are in for an increasing share of the surveys. They are often very short, I've been paid 20p for a single question, but usually work on the basis of:

3-5 mins = 5-15p
5-10 mins = 20p-30p
15mins + = 35p + ones tend to be quite long comparatively.

I've also found that Onepoll+ (which you get invited to after a few payments) has higher paying surveys and whilst it wouldnt qualify for minimum wage, it is the easiest way to make a few extra bucks on the net I reckon.

http://qm.ee/1F0E6CBD my QMEE referral link - please use as it helps me by 50p

Finally download QMEE and start earning for searches - you cannot tell its there most of the time but it sometimes pops up on the farmost left side of your browser with further search options. You then get paid 5p-10p (that's what I've found) and I tend to build up something like £3-5 per month for barely any effort.

Add those up you could easily do £45 a month but thats if you pick up your surveys consistently.

Well November is done and dusted.
My wealth is £630 greater as a result of online earning.
My running total since the 1st of August is about £1,820.
I am very impressed, however this month is the last month of websearching (the biggest chunk of earning) as the project finishes end of the year. :'( :'( :'(

But I am 5p off my cash out on one poll, though I get screened out of loads so goodness knows when I will ever reach my target.
I have some MS surveys to cash in before the cut off in a few weeks.
Bits and bobs really, but they add up and don't impact family life as I crack on during school hours or late at night.

Have they definitely said it is going to come to an end? Is there no chance of an extension?

As I've already said to you those skills you have gained can be transferred to Leapforce ;)

ATM the project is finishing. I hope they extend as I have got hand of it, and it suits me, but I am not assuming they will.

One of my friends is a Leapforcer, she joined a few weeks ago, her project sounds hard!!!

The year end is getting close.
In the last 5 months I have earned nearly £2,500.

Some of the leads I discovered myself and some of the leads I begged/borrowed/stole from this site.
My web-searching gig has been extended but I am not planning on being reliant on it, but in the meantime it is a case of making hay whilst the sun is shinning.

Merry Christmas to all of you, especially those of you who have been super friendly and supportive of me.

Good start to the year so far.
Bank balance £780 healthier, most of this is websearching though a bit of WUD and edig in there.

At the mo amazon balance £5 greater, saving up for Christmas I think.
Got a secret eat tomorrow for myself, hubbie and the girls.

Me too jordsbabe!! Everyone kept plugging it as a really good site to use but it just frustrates me - takes so long to get any reasonable number of SB! Maybe I'm just doing the wrong kind of surveys or something, but it seems you have to put a lot of effort into long surveys to get anything back...

I have the same problem with SB. I am sick of finishing surveys only to be told there was a problem or they say thanks for completing and then don't credit. I dont mind being screened out but finishing and then being told I dont fit is annoying.

I find with certain sites that get surveys elsewhere, such as Swagbucks does, that some of them do a heck of a lot of screening i.e. 15 questions that you've filled in on your profile.

Onepoll is the least annoying I've found - only ever screened out after 3-4.

Thought I would update my dairy with my Feb earnings.
To save any newcomers reading this from the start a quick recap.

I am a 30 something (getting ever closer to a 40 something) mum of two girls. I gave up a "real" job when my 8 year old was born. My husband works full time and earns enough to keep us in oven chips and baked beans. However I like earning my own money had have worked part time offline since becoming a mother. We have no child care or family nearby and my part time work (2/3 evenings a week) fits around my husband. My weekends are precious so all my earning, well 99% is done during school hours.

Anyway
Feb 2015
WSE £665 (money earnt in Jan 15) - contract still going, will end in a few months :(
Vouchers £30.50 (Swagbucks and Instagc)

My 2015 total so far is about £1,500

Well done you; it'll not be long before you can add some sausages to accompany the baked beans and oven chips ;)
