Matched betting for a newbie

so I've read the guides and I still can't get my head round this matched betting! I feel like a completel idiot! Gutted as well as it seems like an excellent way to make some extra money but I just don't think it's for me

have you clicked on the banner from this site and tried it? There is an EASY £45 even if you don't ever do it again. When I started PA was a godsend to helping understand (and fix errors) what I was doing. When you understand it, you don't panic and when you don't panic you don't make mistakes.

and anyone who tells you they have never bet when they ment to lay at Betfair is a liar! :lol:

LOL everyone here has been in this situation... ok... so i assume you are trying the 2 PA free offers.. When i first did mine it took literally 2 hours to place the bet and lay.... go to the video for the offer you are doing... start watching... at first instruction pause video, go do what it is telling you to do... if unsure watch that bit of video again.. do it by the letter, then once happy.. unpause video and watch next instruction... pause and do the instruction.. and rinse and repeat till you complete!.. The basic instructions of Matched betting are this... Place and lay a qualifying bet using the oddsmatcher and calculator on PA.... once settled you get a free bet, and you place and lay this bet again using the calculator on PA and if you closely follow instructions you will have made about 80% of the free bet as profit....
The first times are harest, but, after 5 or 6 bets it all clicks and in no time you are doing them in a couple of minutes.

I don't know if you are joking or not, but its REALLY important to know the difference. If you join PA then they have some great videos that would really help you

Yeah as above join PA on the trial and all will be made clear... dont try start matched betting without joining....fear not like you 2 years ago i also had never heard of a lay bet or knew what an exchange was... quite normal if you are a non gambler
there are other better services..but in my experience PA is the best to start with... very clear concise video instructions...
Some of the jargon at early stages... place (or "back")... place a bet at bookies... lay.. similar to placing a bet but you do this in an exchange (Smarkets.. Matchbook.. Betfair) a lay is when you bet against an outcome.. for example you bet on Man U to win at bookies... at the exchange your lay bet is when you bet on Man U NOT to win (note thats not to lose but not to win).. so if Man U won the bookie pays out... if Man U lose or draw then the exchange pays you... a lay bet covers you for any other result.

You don't need to know what all the jargon is when you start out as PA will explain it all to you. I've got a link in my sig to get a 7 day trial for £1. I wouldn't suggest trying it alone without at least researching it and finding out what it is like first.
