Hello everyone, I need some urgent advice

Is there any money making site like Mystery Shopping or 63336 online where they can accept you easily and have work going on straight away?

I’ve just been told by my manager that I won’t be working between Xmas and NYD, so I have a bit of hole where I have nothing to do. As I am temping on a low salary, I wanted to find something else to do in the meantime.

I know it’s a bit of a million dollar question but I am a bit at a loose end so would really appreciate it :)

Thank you very much and have a Merry Christmas

I think it'll be hard to find something like 63336 that will accept your application this close to Christmas.

Are there any smaller things you can do? Off the top of my head, things that pay relatively quickly are some mystery shopping companies, prolific academic surveys, crowdology surveys, qmee, Field Agent, Spare5 app, Mindswarm...I'm sure there are plenty more.

Do you have things you can sell? Can you write articles for fiverr, freelancer, people per hour?

Thank you, yeah I am worried I won’t get accepted for a lot of things this close to Xmas, that’s part of the reasons I am asking

I am a decent writer and I used to write short stories…, do fiverr, freelancer, people per hour accept you relatively easily/quickly? Heard about textbroker too, any good? I did write an article a while for a site (don’t remember which one) but it got rejected so I let the whole thing go for the time being

Thank you for the other suggestions, you reckon the mystery shopping companies will be easier to get accepted? Also (more crucially) do you reckon they actually have work straight away?

It all depends if you have what they are looking for, if there is nothing in your area or within your experience/expertise range then they won't unfortunately. One mystery shopping company may work for one person and not the other...

Some of the companies I mystery shop for have jobs all the way through Christmas and the New Year, but I have no idea how long they take to accept people. I know Amber Arch have been closed from 18th Dec all the way through to Jan, so don't bother applying there.

I've only worked with PPH - I wrote 8 articles for £80, but once the fees were taken it was barely above £60. I've only ever hired on freelancer, and I paid £2 per article. You make a profile and have people buy your services - you can send proposals on PPH (it is how I got my 8 article job) or have a profile and have people come to you.

I've got a blog post about making £1,000 - it is 100 ways to make £10 - http://fromalditoharrods.com/make-1000/ and you might be able to take some ideas from it. Of course some things will earn you more than £10, and other things won't be viable for you.

that's also another thing I forgot to mention ! I need cash possibly quite quickly (I remember 4 years ago it took Quidco 3 months to pay me), so thanks for this

do all field/Mystery shopping sites pay fairly quickly ? I'll have a proper look later with a bit of time ;)

Yes field agent and Roamler pay quickly

Market force every 2 weeks

Other mystery shopping companies typically once a month

No worries at all

I always think earning from home is always something you need to keep An eye on and always apply for opportunities that you may want to do, even if you don't want to do it at the time

Whatusersdo is another one worth signing up to btw, they pay monthly via PayPal

With some mystery shopping companies, it depends where you live. If they have reliable, trusted people on their books they quite often offer them work first. More out-of-the-way areas with fewer shoppers will mean you have less other shoppers to compete with, but on the flip side there might not be enough work (maybe one client & you can't visit on consecutive months etc).

Some mystery shopping companies are fastest-finger-first. You just need to keep checking their website for new opportunities.

Blue Apple are great. Totally recommend giving them a try.

Jon would like to say that he believes they pay a decent amount compared to other mystery shopping companies, but he is banned from posting on here as he is living it up on his hollibobs ;D
