it can take time to find your voice so to speak.I just think whenever I write about myself I sound like a tit
it can take time to find your voice so to speak.
It can take quite a few months to find your tone etc and that's fine and just part of the process so I wouldn't worry too much.
If you are worried about putting yourself 'out there' then honestly I wouldn't. I've had to take my fair share of stick from people at work after TMS was in national newspapers but that's just part of blogging lol

lol the part time change had to come about because I was working 37-40 hours in my main job and then every evening weekend on TMS and constantly chasing my tail so something had to give!!I bet the fact you could go part time because of it took the edge off though!
You've only just started and you are right that it takes a while to find your blogging voice.Been AWOL again for a bit! Currently sitting at home with tonsillitis feeling a bit sorry for myself and not really up to much money making at the moment.
Only on about £100 for this month, so need to up my game somewhere. As I am partly back to work, I am aiming low for the moment and have targets of:
Min £250
Intermediate £500
Dream £750
In the meantime I have set up a pretty basic type of blog. It is a weird sort of a feeling and am in two minds at the moment of whether it's really worth it or not. Not monetised it yet as literally only published it with a couple of blog posts and need to think how I want to do that. I have been asking myself whether I would even read my blog?! Will try and push on for now as I can drop it later if needs be.. not sure I have quite found my online voice yet and I should probably go back and edit my posts as I tend to have verbal diarrhea..
As always, time is a problem for me!
Sorry to hear you've not been well. Tonsillitis is nasty!Oh dear, what a terrible week! I had tonsillitis last week and then ready to go back to work and baby had his immunisations and has been really ill since... if I'm not carrying him or he's asleep on my lap or cuddled up to me he's crying.
Am totally exhausted and behind in.. well everything really. Managed to catch up a little MB'ing from bed cuddling a baby the last 2 nights and expecting another £85 to come in today/tomorrow to get me up to £300 for the month. Won't be a good month, but I keep telling myself it's a short month, so I would expect things to be a bit lower, plus the first full month of reloads only and no sign up deals.
Trying not to worry about it too much and do what I can this evening/the weekend, take a deep breath and start afresh for March. Maybe I'll get time to fix my blog too at some point...
(On the plus side I did make £100 in 2days pretty easily as I didn't bet for a few days and loads of betting companies were falling over themselves to offer me deals to come back!)
What was your MB budget you started with? Love your diary btwWell thanks to my win and finishing wagering (won into the exchange.. wahoo!), I am £150 up today MB
Now just need to go back and check where all my free bets are so I can start the process for tomorrow! Won't be anything like today, but am hoping I can get another £25 net as then I will have hit £500 for the month which was my first target!
Surveys have taken a bit of a back burner at the moment and only done a few recently... need to catch up on my panelbase and valued opinions ones tomorrow. Cashed out on Vypr at last, but waiting for that to come in (next week hopefully).

Crikey that is indeed one hell of a March @Queen JessWhat a horrific month March has been. No idea how to even start explaining, but it involves flu, A&E, ear infection, teething and chicken pox as well as taking me right to breaking point.
Really hoping things can go back to normal now and trying to draw a line under it all, but still feeling pretty low.
So Cheltenham was a little bit of a write off for me, however, I did do a very quick 4-5 bets each day to net me £60-£80+ each day (would be rude not to when it was that easy and they emailed me to let me know about them). A positive was that I did venture into some new deals - extra places and price boosts. No wins on extra places, but I am glad I took time to understand them. Am a little obsessed with the price boosts right now!
I realised this morning that I have rather a long list of wants and things to save up for (mainly house projects and furniture), however the most expensive by far is the massive garden project. I now only need £1,300 more and then that goal will be reached and I can move onto the next one. Trying to squeeze another £300 out of this month to see if I can get it below £1,000 left! I have already booked it for May so need to have it all by the end of May!
I am mainly looking at short term projects at the moment. Long term I need to pay down the mortgage and increase my pension to go part time and retire early. Long term mortgage is going nowhere right now due to lots of other projects, but I am rounding it down to the nearest £100 from monthly MB and saving the rest for projects. This is more for psychological reasons... makes me feel like I am doing something at least. The second I am achieving slowly by diverting any extra funds (over and above budget) from my normal job to pension stuff (it would otherwise be saved up and spent on the short term projects).
After the garden project I may split my monthly earnings 50:50 between projects and mortgage to try and make a start on this mountain.. if only I could hit a jackpot on some free spins!!! I can dream... In the meantime I will carry on trying to chip away. I would love to earn £1,000 a month rather than £500, but I just don't have the time to do more.
i am a bit apprehensive using those £200 stakes on the price boosts .
did you jump in at that amount straight away?
Crikey that is indeed one hell of a March @Queen Jess
Good to hear you ventured into some new areas of MBing. Price boosts are great, especially if you get ones that have a max bet of like £200 odd and you can make an easy £20/£30 for 5 seconds work!
We've had our list of 'thing to fix' in the house for 10+ years. Well not fix, but improve I suppose is the word!
The sooner you can make that drop down to part time the better. I did last April and while I was nervous leading up to it I haven't looked back since and I have a FAR better quality of work / life balance!
I've been matched betting for 4 years now so it was probably 3 years when I dropped down.I know it isn't remotely comparable, but out of interest, how long were you matched betting before you dropped down to part time?
I have a lot of things going on here and don't think it's the right time for me yet. However, will see how the next few months go and if I can't hack it then I will have to change the plan and drop down to part time.
