it will go up!

It will just takes about 6 months sadly until Moz notice your backlinks but once it starts you are off to the races really and all that backlink building will pay off!

I still maintain OUTGOING links from your site have next to no impact on your DA score as TMS has 1000s posted on this forum to all sorts of different sites and it makes jack all difference!

DA tends to be controlled by the number of blacklinks your site from good quality sites with a higher DA

I'm unsure how I could get more backlinks from good quality sites to www.thereverend.co.uk/blog ? Any ideas?

I think engagement is key so I will have to put some effort in there.

I'm still not sure what a 'good' DA is or how to improve it. Mine is currently 17 and a couple of back links I've no idea how they got there! Does leaving a link when commenting on someone else's blog have any impact on DA?

It depends what you are after really

The higher your DA the more you can charge for sponsored content generally

You get your DA up by doing things like guest posting on other blogs within your niche as you would obviously then get a backlink to your site

If you don't (or aren't trying to) want to earn money from your blog then it's probably not a major concern
