I have just joined here - and have to say I wish I had discovered this place years ago!

What is everyone's top tip to starting the income generation journey?

@Jon has a good toolkit he has shared above.

My top tip would be to make sure you don’t beat yourself up if you don’t make millions in the first hour!

I’d suggest working your way through the toolkit and ask people questions on the way. Join in on the monthly challenge - it should be possible you can make £200-£500 in your first month without too much of a problem.

The sites mentioned here are all tried and tested but I would recommend checking out earning opportunities with sites like survey police or trust pilot before spending a long time on a site. Some sites give very generous referral bonuses and are heavily promoted on the internet withou necessarily giving you the best return per hour.

I'd say the biggest thing is to be patient. It takes time to build up your income and effort. Aim low at first. Say a £100 a month and then gradually increase. That's how I started and now I hit £600 a month.

My top tip is to try absolutely everything and then whittle it down to what you really enjoy x

Thank you Andrew I will have a read of that I've tried matched betting but once I'd done the sign up offers I got a bit lost didn't understand most of the reloads.
reload offers are in essence the same as the sign up offers. It's just there is more money to be made and they go on FOREVER ;)

Hi Steph. I don't touch matched betting or gambling at all. I get roughly a £100 a month from surveys and £500 from mystery shopping and task based apps.

I've written about it in detail in this post here:

https://www.themoneyshed.co.uk/inde...er-£300-a-month-without-matched-betting.8851/
I'm new here also. I've read that matched betting is tax free as it is viewed as gambling earnings. However, is money earned through surveys, mystery shopping also tax free?

Mystery Shopping is not tax free. You would pay tax on that..
