Hello! I've just joined the site and it looks great. I'm looking for ways to earn some money from home as I have agoraphobia and don't go out very much. I used to work for Lionbridge, but the contract ended. In the past, I've done adult texting work (hated it). Very much interested in looking at matched betting, survey sites and so on. Looking forward to reading all the info on here!

Hi [member=2366]Collieni[/member]

Great to have you on the site!

Pop over to the toolkit on the blog (http://blog.themoneyshed.co.uk/working-from-home-toolkit/) and you will find an easy £600-£1000 a month you can make right off the bat using the information on there

Hi and welcome. There are some really good ways to make some extra money on here. Allot of us do the Monthly Money Making Challenge. Worth checking out the September one as it gives you a few ideas as to what sites people are earning from. You will find the thread in the Earn Money Online Section.
Any questions just ask.[emoji4]

Hi all, Newbies here this looks like a great informative site & what have we been missing for so long ...been doing online surveys & receiving odd samples here & there for several years but now hearing words like Roamler? & similar apps which is news to our ears so hoping to get invite for Roamler & to discover lots more new ideas & ways to earn other than surveys.

Hi all, just found this site & am working through all the wonderful ideas people have on here. No idea why it has taken me so long to look further into everything as I have been using top cash back for a couple of years now with good results and have a couple of survey accounts already. Cash is a bit tight at the moment and I am hoping that earning a bit extra I will be able to save some money up every year for christmas or to help pay of some of the debts we have at the moment :)

Welcome to the newbies! What I would say is don't automatically write off the surveys. There are still quite a few companies that pay nicely for their surveys! I am one of the highest earners here (month after month) and the majority of my work is mystery shopping, surveys and focus groups.

Any questions you can use @ and my username (or that of anyone else) to tag them and ask questions.

Hello :)

First post here. Found this site by chance over the past week looking for ways to make money from home. Very happy to find this site, so big thanks to Jon for creating and maintaining it, and all the great contributing members.

I suffer an illness preventing me from leaving the house. My wife is the breadwinner in a stressful job earning an average wage. My income until recently (due to selling all my belongings on eBay) has been £0 for about 2 years. Not leaving the house, not having my own income/contributing to the bills & feeling useless, leads to some bad depression on top of already being ill.

Those bad feelings are compounded when I used to earn a lot of money through working in software development for the entertainment industry and even running two successful businesses.

The path to regaining my health and life back, is in sight. And now I have found this site, I hope to put the knowledge to good use to make some money so I can relieve some of the pressure on my wife.

I have all day, everyday, for a good few months (we are moving abroad next year) to start earning some money. But, I want it to be serious money. I'm doing surveys, clicksites etc, but for just pennies mostly.

I've successfully applied (thanks to this site) to the following:
Leapforce
Isoft
Appen
Lionbridge

I just have the tests for those to do now. Working in IT & software development in the past, I'm hoping to stand 'some' chance. Thanks Jon for the Toolkit for the above links, and to another member for the Isoft link in a thread on here.

I'm also on User-testing and What Users Do. User Testing has given me $23 in 3 days. What Users Do £8. Small money to some, but it made me feel great :D

Sorry this is a long 'Hello'. One more thing I want to add....

Matched Betting: I've read the threads, watched the videos on PA, seen the success stories. I do believe it works, no doubt there. As I mentioned, I recently made some money off eBay, a good amount. However, I am SO SCARED to touch it!!!! My bank account has been £0 for two years, and now it's looking good. I could start this with say, £200, but I'm so nervous that I will do something wrong. I have seen a couple of post from people on here who've messed it up. I've sold all my things to get some spare cash, I'd hate to lose some of it by making a silly mistake.

I consider myself a smart person, but have never understood betting/gambling and have no interest in sports! I've been reading @ Jammie Anderson's posts, thread and blog, saying that a few hours a day has netted him £'ssss. I have all day, everyday stuck at home. I'm excited by the prospect and nervous in equal measure! :-\

Thanks for reading and thanks again to Jon and all the great members for this superb place to discuss earning money from home. Sorry for the long intro post ;)

Hi [member=2391]Day[/member]

First thanks for signing up to TMS - Great to have you on board

Listen, give Matched Betting a try. Click the banner above and do the FREE trial where you make £45 - you will then know if it is for you or not. You won't have lost any money and will have made around £45 and will have a better idea of how it works and be able to make an informed decision

Yes people make mistakes (heck I did this weekend) but when you doing MBing it doesn't matter so much because a mistake that cost me £20 when i've earned over £1500 in matched betting alone that month doesn't really matter - it's not the end of the world if you get what i'm saying

EVERYONE on here had to start somewhere and learning the ropes is just part of the course - you will do great, i'm sure! - it's not rocket science at all ,it's just following simple instructions really

Good to see you applied for Leapforce as well, hope that works out for you

WhatUsersDo is another one you might want to consider. They seem to be flinging around a lot of £15 for 20min work tasks at the moment that i see emailed to me

Hi Jon,

Thanks, I have made a free account with Profit Accumulator yesterday. I'll be signing up with some bookies later after I view the videos again and make a few notes.

I'm with What Users Do and have had one review so far in 7 days (£8). User Testing are firing me 2 or 3 per day, not that I always qualify though.

I hope I get through with at least one of the Web Evaluator positions, I applied to 4 companies, so fingers crossed one will come good. I can easily do a 20hr shift per week.

Are any of those mobile phone txt Q&A companies hiring do you know?

Thanks again, I hope I'll be able to make some worthwhile contributions of my own to the forum soon :)

Hiya

Text companies : not been hiring for a LONG time, maybe that will change soon a few members on here like [member=277]Chammy[/member] still work for AQA.

Am sure you will get through with one of the WSE jobs, I earn a steady £600+ a month (I do 2 hours a day ideally outside of work of my main, full time job) from them when i'm not restricted which combined with £1000 a month from Matched Betting + whatever else I do online to earn money means i bring in a hefty whack. [member=920]katykicker[/member] doesn't work in a 'regular' job and tends to bring in circa £2000 a month so the money is there to be earned don't worry ;)

Hi [member=2391]Day[/member] I just wanted to say welcome firstly. I've got several big illnesses and gave up working 2.5 years ago but now I make more money than ever, so it can work out for you.

Just try your best and there are lots of good sites out there. Some surveys really are for peanuts but if you're looking to find some of the better ones under this post is my signature for my favourite websites and that features some of the better paying survey sites.

Best of luck and welcome to the shed. We are a friendly bunch here and don't mind answering questions more than once so ask away if you have any. Take care.
