Gutted. not getting my free bet from Betfair as apparently the blasted odds went down to below the minimum before it started.
waaaaaaa unhappy.

Can you check what the SP of a horse was somewhere? I thought it did start at 4 but live chat has told me otherwise?

Well the second offer on p/a won at the exchange for me aswell! Happy days!! Just waiting for that free bet to get applied let that run and I'll be joining up to p/a to make even more!

I do like a bet and it does really make it interesting watching the games and waiting for the result knowing you'll make a few ££'s whatever the outcome!

[member=1731]cleofish123[/member] When a horse is withdrawn from a race then the odds on the other horses are reduced - the percentage of reduction depends on the odds of the horse that's withdrawn. Horses can be withdrawn at any time before a race, but it's one of the reasons why it's not a great idea to place bets on a horse race when there's still a long-time to go before the off.

An example of pitfalls that you can face with horse-racing. Potentially very costly!

[member=4595]Leece[/member] Go onto Live Chat and ask them to confirm what's happened - what I assume is that either the price has to be over 4.0 when you actually place the bet (regardless of the SP) or I can see that you had a rule 4 deduction, so perhaps that played a part.

Do you have the T&Cs for the offer?

T&C stated that sp had to be 4 or above...I'm guessing it must be that rule 4 deduction. Live chat were less than helpful...I'm letting it go, I still made a few quid on it. I'll just make sure that any Betfair ones are a good bit above 4 when I back from now on to minimise the chance of it dropping below 4.

Yeah the payout you got was in line with 3.75 due to the deduction so perhaps that's it.

Oh no SarahLu, I think everyone makes odd mistake with mb (well I certainly do) and it is very annoying to think you've spent time doing something for it to cost you money rather than make it! I messed up a couple of accas this wkd (forgot to lay newcastle and tinkered with a coral one without noticing it'd gone under the min odds so no fb). Just have to learn from these things and try not to do next time I think.

Thanks [member=2431]Uhhhhh[/member] another thing learnt! I was thinking at the time i should have waited to closer to the race, the odds always seem to change quickly.

Probably a really stupid question but what is a win single? is it a straight win for example in a football match?
There are wagering requirements on a free bet on a win single- can i place this on a draw, match odds, over/under or does it have to be a straight win/lose thing?

thanks

thanks :) that looks like an easy £50 cashback then as there is no minimum odds requirement :)

[member=5645]sillymoo[/member] It is! One of the best cashback offers ;D

Are you confident doing inplays? They have two weekend offers you could combine with your cashback wagering...

1. Free Bet Saturday - If you bet at least £10 in-play on at 3 matches from either the Premier League, Scottish Premier League, Bundesliga or La Liga on a Saturday (min odds 1.5) then they give you a £5 free bet. (https://www.888sport.com/online-sports-betting-promotions/FreebetSaturday.htm)
2. Free Bet Frenzy - If you bet a total of £100 in-play on Saturday then you get to play their 'Kick' game 3 times on Monday - you shoot at a target. If you hit the middle target (and there's an easy strategy to make sure you hit the target everytime) then you get bet £10 get £20fb. (https://www.888sport.com/online-sports-betting-promotions/mobilegame.htm)
3. Free Bet Frenzy - you can do the same again on Sunday for a Kick game on Tuesday.

They do those offers every weekend and so you get £45 of free bets from it - I don't always have time for Sunday but do every Saturday and combine both offers for Saturday (so just do at least 3 in-play bets that total at least £100) for a £5fb and a Kick on Monday. Then you can do £100 in-play on Sunday for a Kick on Tuesday too. The £5 free bet from Saturday should cover the qf losses for the £200 of inplays for the weekend because the odds on 888 are pretty decent...especially Bundesliga. You can always just bet at half-time when the odds are stable if you're not confident with in-plays.

Just a thought ;D

Thanks for the advice [member=2431]Uhhhhh[/member] I already did my offers before I saw your reply but I will bear these in mind. I'm still going through signup offers but will start doing reloads soon.

Of course my £120 bet had to win at the bookie (along with a whole lot of other bets I had on) so I have £5 left in the exchange which means no more betting until I get the money from the bookies. Yes, I know, I should place back bets on different results of the same match but it's not always possible due to odds I wish to use.

[member=5645]sillymoo[/member] £120 is a massive first bet! You should keep up similar stakes. Do the in-plays at the weekend - you can get the Kicks with one £100 bet per day (but then you would only get the Saturday £5fb if you do at least £10 on 3 games from the selected leagues).

Did you just do a £120 bet and forgo the opening offer? (bet £10 get 3x odds on a winning bet)

Hello! I have a couple of questions as I am trying to get my first pounds on here.

How is that you can make any profit from the free bet if you are canceling it just like the qualifying bet? I mean, to qualify for the free bet you bet £5 to win and then bet to lose in the exchange which will cancel the bet letting you without almost loss, then you repeat the process with the £20 free expecting to have £14~£16 profits instead cancelling it, just like it did right before in the qualifying bet. I cant make my mind to understand those maths.

The other question is, the Lay odds need to be always higher than the Back odds? Could be the same? Could be the Back higher than the Lay?

Thankssss :D

You make money because when you do the qualifying bet you set the calculator to NORMAL. When you do the FREE BET you set the calculator to SNR and you can see how much money you are making ;)

You are doing that same thing but the when you use the free bet you are using FREE MONEY

Like I said, use the calculator on PA and set it to SNR and put your free bets odds in and you will see it makes money

yes the odds could be the same and watch out for the back being higher than the lay as that is an arb...
