Just a personal thing but betting on the potential of a faller is something I have a problem with as it comes with the potential of a horse being put down. I know I bet on horses and it is always a risk that something bad may happen and I am helping fund that, but betting on a horse hoping it falls is a bit too much for me. I do bet on the beaten by a length races though and have had some good returns.
Yeah I do get what you mean here.

I remember a year or two ago I was at York races as we often go throughout the season and the horses were in the traps and my horse literally passed out and died before they even started racing!!

I've also been to the grand national a number of times and you get a fair amount of abuse from the animal rights people on your way into Aintree

On a lighter note - Betfair's Wheel of Wonder is bet £20 on Jackpot Slots and get £5 free scratchcards. One of the slots is Rocket Men and I know how much you like that slot. I do and I am already up on wagering with 5 scratchcards to come

Not listed on Odds Monkey but there are 30 seconds worth of free spins on William Hill - Snow Wild.
Can repeat daily until Wednesday or Thursday.

Anyone got a direct link to the prize wheel on betfair please? I did it the first day but can't find it today.

Quick question - the final leg of my acca was postponed, does that mean the bookie pays out on the previous successful legs and the lay bet is refunded? Because that's what it looks like, but I can't actually find any record of it to confirm.

I still maintain Coral have one of the best horse refund offer(s) around which I know doesn't get that much love on PA (dunno about OM) but they do a refund during the flat season on if your horse is beaten by a length and during jump season it's refund if your hall falls

Refunds are up to £25 and if you can get close matched (which you always can) I do around 3-4 each Saturday with a total QL of around 10p and just hope for the best

You can see here
https://help.coral.co.uk/s/article/Previous-Qualifying-Fallers-Selections

That there are ALWAYS fallers!
Yes I’ve just been mulling these over, th e low ql is crucial isn’t it.

Do remember that the 'lock-in' method still assumes you get a free bet if one leg loses, so if one leg only does lose you will have a free bet you will need to cash in in the normal way. The guaranteed (and it isn't 100% guaranteed - if the odds move badly against you, you can make a small loss, although this is very rare) return is effectively using the free bet money in advance.
@jkg-jkg so, one leg didn’t come in so I should get a £20 free bet tomorrow, which is where my £5ish profit comes from. So how do I use this free bet? Just the usual SNR and does it have to be on an acca or can I use on anything? Sorry for the questions.

Can't see any sign of it on the bookies. They're showing the bet as settled now and seem to have paid some money into my account, although less than I think it was supposed to be had I won all three legs. I'm just not sure what's supposed to happen in these circumstances.

Yes, just use the free bet as normal SNR

Had an email from Matchbook to say that their 0% Commission offer has been extended until 4th June 2018 - this probably only applies to people who are already with them though (their website just quotes 0% commission on horse race bets settled up to the 19th March 2018 for new customers).

This is good. I've been placing most of my lays with MB since they've been doing free commission. The small savings add up to quite a few pounds by the end of the week. Especially compared to Betfair's 5%
