yes, you've got it.
Won again!

HopeI don't end up getting myself gubbed :O

Edit: Don't know how but I've done it again... does betfair trade up to get you better odds on horses?!? according to profit tracker I backed at 8.00; layed 40.94 at 8.6 on betfair which should've meant a £38 profit on a win - on betfair the lay has odds of 6.38 meaning I made £130 :|

I'm very confused, but it's a happy confused. :D

Figured it out - reductions due to non-runners. I went from 8.00 to 7.00 at the bookies and from 8.6 to 6.38 at the exchange. Happy days!

Think it was more of an £80 profit though as wasn't taking account of stake return. Still happy ;)

This is called Rule 4. A certain percentage reduction is applied depending on the original odds on the non-runner (lower the odds the bigger the reduction). The exchanges will usually apply the exact percentage, but the bookies will tend to just do whole number percentages so it usually goes in your favour. You have to be careful though if you place the back bet in advance of the lay bet you can come unstuck if you don't check. Some bookies will tell you if they have applied a reduction before the race starts but some won't. Smarkets is quite useful for these as they show the full percentage and also show the time it was applied.

thanks for the detailed explanation!

I'm now 3 out of 3 pickig winners onfeature races... cleared out smarkets twice and nearly cleared out betfair once...

making good money but i do worry about a gub. i imagine i get the 50 stake back when one loses? once i get a loss I'll leave the midweek horses on 365 til cheltenham!!

Careful. You only get the risk free bet on the next race the 4/1 offer is on for. During the week for non ITV days thats two races per day. Make sure you haven't missed the next 4/1 race before you put your bet on.

yup, exeter tomorrow afternoon next.

thing is i really could do with withdrawing from 365 but i already withdrew 300 yesterday... would withdrawing again be high-risk?

Usually withdrawing is ok but I might want to avoid two withdrawals so close. Just need to cross fingers and hope you pick a loser this time.

Are you making some mug bets too?

luckily my latest horse had a sniff round and thought 2m 7f was far too much effort and called it a day

i swear bwin have skanked me out f 2 offers now - first i bet on the horses on the sign up which is supposedly ineligible (they seem to have changed the terms of their offer recently but not necessarily updated info everywhere :( )

Now this week there was a bet x in play get x free bet offer and they havent given me a free bet for this either?

These guys are taking the yellow water over here!
