Just got gubbed by Paddy... that's after mugging too...

I wonder sometimes if there is any rhyme or reason to the gubbings.

I have lost bot Paddy and Bet 365 - but only for their promotions.

I am therefore going to use these 2 more than others to do the horse racing refunds at the weekend - you never know, maybe if I do enough they might ungub me again.
Am same but have no idea how to do horse refunds...spose I should start learning this stuff

If you're going to learn horse refunds, now is the best time to start, with the free access to Match Catcher. Even if you're not ready to place bets, learn how it all works and find bets with MC and track them to see what would have happened if you'd put them on.

First week using Match Catcher.

Placed 5 x £10 bets on Saturday and 2 x £15 bets on Sunday.

Managed to get 1 refund of £10 for a 2nd place.

Total QL for the £80 worth of bets though was a mere £2.45 and I made £8.30 from the refund.

The speed at which you can pick your horses though meant I managed to get my bets on before I got fed up, which was a bonus :)

My only drawback was doing it yesterday and PP was 2nd to the SP favourite and in 3 races there was joint favourites (Obviously just at the time I was doing it) which I think probably led to me going for a 3rd fav to be safe but resultanty it didn't get 2nd.

Planning on hammering PP, Bet365 over the next few weeks as I have been gubbed by both for special promotions but not for horses.

Bit of a bummer that th ACCA software has apparantly takena step back though as I have been looking forward to getting on to that.

If you bet on joint favourite and it comes second you still get the refund! I bet on someone on grand national day who wasn't favourite. Came second. I was celebrating. Then got the race card results on PP messenger and saw it was JF. Cursing the sky... But I got the FB! It mentions in the t's and C's about joint favourites and it's not easy to understand but with hindsight I can see they mean just that - if a joint favourite comes second... I'm guessing to the other favourite?! - then it still counts :)

Plus betting on a JF doesn't look like you're going for the refund - seems a good mug choice especially if you're new to horse betting.

So I've taken two free £5 bets and put them on a treble which includes a Barca draw on one and a Barca loss on the other!! After they ruined my acca I'm gonna bet against them and see what happens lol

Just seen the SJ FB offers for this week.
4 risk-free FB offers are always good 8)

Is it on PA?

Don't see anything (Although I am trying to access site via Phone)

It is under the football refunds in the reloads section.
They have a £25 FB over the next 4 days, each day.

How do you lock this in as a profit and keep it risk free?

I'm guessing you change the lay somehow. but if you win at the bookies doing it as a normal 'bet' then you will be a couple of quid down and no free bet.

You'd need to bet on the first goalscorer market, anybody except the player in the offer. If the player scores first you'll guarantee your bet loses and therefore get the free bet. You could try the IF offer spreadsheet using the lay for the named player? That might work. Only just seen that offer and Vardy scored first yesterday and Kane first tonight - would have been two fb's there.

I just got a sweet price boost on Paddy, only saw it the last second - didn't have time to underlay it which I wanted to, it was for Kane to score any time - of course he has gone and scored :p

Also I shouldn't MB tired - I was just trying to wager on BF to release a bonus for an entirely different offer... oops!! I just lost £20 on that by mistake trying to wager it out. Oh dear. Hoping one of my fb's against Barca come in :D

What you do is to back and lay 0-0
That way if he scores you automatically lose your bet and get the free bet.
To make it risk-free what you do is to lay him as first goal covering the qualifying loss including commission. That way you get your money back whatever the result. Then you hope he scores first for the free bet with no qualifying loss.

I should just add that you do need to get reasonably low odds to lay against for the first scorer. Otherwise it will wipe out the profit from free bet. But it can give a profit without any loss.

I'm not convinced about that game tomorrow, I'm not sure why... Both teams coming off the back off big wins and Newcastle at home where a win could see them out the relegation zone as Norwich ain't beating Arsenal (sorry [member=1]Jon[/member]!) - Newcastle have everything to play for. I think I would lay to be safe.

My £50 acca which Barca killed I'm leaving to run tonight with Benfica - I only saw the notification on my phone when they'd gone 2-1 up, if I'd have seen they were 1-0 down in the first minute I think I might have cried ha! Last legs are tomorrow with Bayern... Then Arsenal v West Brom.

Now you see thats my thoughts but I hate Newcastle and would love them to go down so my heart is saying go for it but my head say's lay lay lay...... lol

Hahahha well definitely lay then - then if Newcastle lose you have the satisfaction to make up for slightly less profit... Win win :) If Newcastle win and you hadn't layed it would be a double blow!

And I made £20.50 on it... that's probably me gubbed again then :p Was actually £30 up with about £12 wagering to go, the last spins were brutal.

Nice one [member=928]askgar[/member] ! That's the offer I over wagered earlier by mistake hha.

Woooop [member=504]Petrolman[/member] thats Benfica won... Two more legs to go! If they both win it'll be a £50fb with I think £30 QL so some £15 odd profit. Be the best I've done from an acca so far but all depends on Bayern and Arsenal winning so it's not been exactly risk free. Still playing around with methods.

Gotta place some fb's tomorrow - if Paddy didn't have stupid min odds I would have had an acca refund from a mug I placed.

Also posted this on PA, so apologies if you've already seen it.

Hello all,

Having recently been restricted by Betbright, and then noticing one or two horse racing arbs on the oddsmatcher last night, I decided to make a few pounds before withdrawing (hopefully into the exchange).

Clearly I've been pretty silly as they have all now been hit with a nice 40% reduction at the bookmaker and I'm now looking at some pretty decent losses if any of them win. I've checked smarkets and they don't seem to have applied any reduction factor of their own as I have seen them do previously.

Any ideas what is the best way to go about minimising my losses here?

what are the chances of further reductions? I could fix this but then be wrong again.do smarkets always apply a reduction factor? So I should wait it out and see what I need to do.for working out the new back odds, am. I correct in saying that I need to remove 1 from the odds, multiply them by 0.6 and then add the 1 back on?assume the best way to fix it is use one of the advanced calculators and back a certain amount on each horse at the exchange.

I know I'm still guaranteed to lose money here and probably shouldn't have attempted it so it serves me right but any help would be much appreciated.

Note: the race is the 17.45 at Ludlow if anyone wonders how long I have to fix it.

Thanks
