Well my first matched bet that I placed worked and I am in profit - cannot tell you how relieved I am! I kept checking and re-checking and was convinced I had done it wrong. Not even £20 up but even so - really chuffed

Last week I had an odd thing happen, I placed a bet on the west brom game for last week but when it confirmed it was for the one this week. No idea how that happened but rather than go on help chat I thought I'd just go with it. Problem was that the lay odds were awful so I placed them at what I thought was reasonable. I noticed earlier that my unmatched bet had vanished and I wasn't near my computer to lay the bet again, gutted as I lost around £18. I can only assume once the game started it cleared the unmatched bets.

Correct - Unmatched bets are cleared every time the market is halted. So this happens when the match/(or horse race) starts, when there are goals scored, and occasionally if there is an important event like a potential Red Card or dangerous free kick. All these things will reset the market so if there is anything unmatched it'll get wiped.

It's ok now as had a reply back from admin to say I was removed because I haven't towed the PA LINE and I offered a different site because they had the software that PA didn't.
But not a problem just left a sour taste because they never spoke to me personally

Thank you. Now I know this if it happens again I'll make sure I'm around for the start of the match. laying off at the rubbish odds would have meant a loss of less than £5 I think.

Place a bet on your football team to win" - so it wouldn't have occurred to me to just do the Kicker bet. Ofc, makes sense that PP would want to 'persuade' you to do both.

Just double checked the T's and C's and all it says is place a kicker bet and it loses we'll refund you £10fb. Can confirm i have done this 3x, two losses with FB credited and one win.

Got a handful of 50p's on a spread of results today so I hope I've got the right combination in the same place, £30-40 return if so!

So I'm a little confused, do you lay the kicker or just put it on and take the Fb as compensation if it loses?

You could lay a team to win by a certain number of goals (on Betfair) as SNR so you profit either way however I think the lay odds are too high for this to be worthwhile.

You can get £8-8.50 back from the FB so for me such a small loss is essentially a risk free shot at a Kicker.

Sorry [member=143]auntygeek[/member] - had to dash out earlier so didnt get a chance to thank you for the help. Knowing nothing at all about football, I stuck a tenner kicker on Aston Villa - that didnt work out so well! Still, will have thefb to make up the majority of the shortfall...

well if you some how defied maths you and lost all £25 you could do the PP, 888sport etc offers on the reloads section and just make that money back again

I cba with most Bet Victor offers because of the wagering. I only do them if the free bet is high enough to leave a reasonable profit after the wagering.

I think the wagering is a bit of a nightmare. Going to complete the outstanding ones. At the moment it helps that my betfair account his high so can put larger bets on. Well I bet my £25 on slots and won £15.60 so down £9.40 not including the FB. Placed my £5FB so overall down by about £6 but worth it for the experience on the slots as I normally dodge these offers.
