Managed to make £17.25 from my free bets yesterday - good start. Still a little bit confused by the exchange but getting the idea I think.

Will do the Sky Bet sign up next week. Once I've done that, how do I get more free bets? Just keep checking for offers or more sign ups?

You get continuous free bets in the form of Reload offers...

For a starter reload, Skybet do a club where you opt in and then bet a minimum of £25 each week (laying the bets off) and get a free £5 in return every Monday. Qualifying bets to be above 2.0 odds. It's a nice easy reload to maintain and if there are other offers going on they contribute towards your £25 so sometimes your qualifying loss is quite low. Most reloads are not as regular and you need to either keep an eye on your emails for offers, or use a website like PA or OM where the reloads are listed. Make sure you're mugging the accounts once you start reloads.

There are loads of sign ups though, that'll keep you going for a while.

I'm just doing that £50 100% matched offer on betfair and you have to use Austin powers and every time you get a bonus the "balance" goes up by x and then you win that much on the bonus!!

Shows how much bonuses are determined beat the point of getting them!!

Wondering if anyone can advise?

The husband is already MBing, and it's going canny. I want to do it too, and earlier in this thread there was a mention that some bonuses might not be offered, but he is worried it could cause us both to be gubbed. Does anyone have any experience/thoughts on this?

I have seen posts (in another place) where people have had bonuses not paid because they were at the same address/IP address as an existing account. Exchanges are less picky, but generally the bookies T&Cs exclude bonuses being paid where there is an existing account.

There were some people here doing MB with their partners (reload offers) without any issue but sign up offers might be problematic

[member=2632]Petlamb[/member] I think it will be a case of carefully checking the T&Cs of every offer just to make sure. I think a LOT of the new account offers won't be open to you as they are generally one per household (I assume because the opening offers are usually more generous that the reloads) but I'm sure you'll get plenty of reload offers. My other half doesn't do MB but he does do a bit of recreational gambling on bet365 and Lads...we use the same Internet and we've never had an issue.

I'm sure there will be blog posts about which bookies are partner friendly...God knows we see enough mention of "THE WIFE'S" accounts on PA/OM ::)

I got back onto the MB train this weekend just gone, after taking about 5 out the last 8 weeks off of it (due to visitors and being busy at work, bit of burnout with it too tbh) and made £150 8)

So today I completed my £10 free bet on some horses, I'm sure I lay the bet on betfair however when I checked tonight this didn't seem to be the case. In a turn of good fortune the bet won anyway so I made myself £45. Pretty chuffed but won't be doing that again any time soon.

[member=4233]chunge3ctk[/member] The odds for horses can move around a lot, more so when a race draws closer. What is likely to have happened is that you spotted the lay odds, calculated and went to put it on and the odds had moved OR there wasn't enough money in the market at the odds you placed the lay bet at. If a bet isn't matched by the time the race starts then it becomes 'lapsed' (basically it's void). You can check in your bet history to see if this is what happened. If it's not in your bet history then you must've not confirmed the bet, if asked.

I'm sure you will do in the future but you can double check that your lay bets have been placed and matched by going into My Account > My Bets, and seeing what open bets you have. On Smarkets this is easy to see as it will appear in the right-hand column under ‘Your Bets’.

I wrote a blog post about how to deal with unmatched or partially matched bet. It's worth a read just so you can figure out how to deal with them if you come across them again. Luck was on your side this time! ;)

Nice end to month (which hasn't been brilliant due to work & other commitments) - logged onto Mecca to do offer - found £40 in the account that I forgot I had and went on to win £35 on slots offer - so very happy!

Looking for recommendation for a bank account just for MB (no other transactions will go through this account) - I have accounts with HSBC, Santander, TSB & Halifax already which I don't want to use - from what I've read the co-op basic account would work - any other recommendations?

You don't really need a MB bank account. Keep money in your exchanges/bookies.

If you do want a MB bank account then just open an online account. Most come with debit cards.

But you REALLY don't need one.
