Yeah, I was using an oddsmatcher. I left those last coiumns until I understood it more, with the explanation regarding rating and now the availability. It's slowly coming together.

I make extensive use of them, and I'm also trialling match catcher. As you start to use them more and more the PA one will start to get a bit frustrating and that is why I no longer subscribe (except for matchcatcher) and use Oddsmonkey instead. For your first month PA should be fine (and they will also give you specific help when you make mistakes as you did earlier to give you the best route out - we help here, but they can be a lot quicker), but the moment it starts getting frustrating is the time to try Oddsmonkey.

I've just realised I placed the Dover V Woking match as a draw. Does that have any effect on potential outcome? Can I lose like this or is it the same as, say, a loss?

(No doubt a stupid question and not one I can really do anything about anyway, now - just trying to understand why it advised a draw)

If you bet and laid the draw you are ok, that is exactly what you are supposed to do.

I did, thank you. For some reason I had the worst feeling I'd done something wrong though (and it was a £53 lay so it was more nervous)

All my bets will come rolling in tonight and my first 'profit' will be made. I've purchased PA so that cuts into it a bit but I'm obviously not going to complain haha - with cashback on some of the bookies I've made nearly £100. (Assuming the cashback goes through!)

Hi. Just wondered what everyone's approach to gubbed accounts is? Got gubbed by sky this week and thought about just doing arbs when I can to get some value out of the account? Or do you keep mugging it hoping it will be reinstated. The email I got said it wouldn't be reversed so thought what's the point in mugging.

[member=3112]mfb2007[/member] I use the EW matcher on Oddsmonkey for betting on the horses with my gubbed accounts.

The forum on OM/PA should contain a thread with advice about whether it's possible to get Sky back or not.

Just mug bet them for awhile.
I was apparently gubbed by Skybet from the e-mail I received a few weeks ago but I am still getting the £5 free bet every week from their Skybet Club. I just thought I would keep doing £25 a week at 2 odds and the free £5 bet has been credited to my Account every week for a few weeks now.
I used to do the qualifying and then another £25 bet as a mug bet every week but once I got the gubbed e-mail I have just been doing one £25 bet a week then the odd extra one in between.
Since I have done that I received this week the ordinary Promotional e-mail from them so looks like I could be ungubbed unless it is a mistake on their part.
Weird though as Skybet sent me an e-mail today to say I no longer qualify for Casino/games offers. So been gubbed from that but I haven't used that part of Skybet for months!
Why gub a customer from something that they have hardly used?
After all if I don't use it then it won't make any difference to me anyway.

You'll have just fallen into whatever algorithm they're using to determine which customers are not profitable for them, unfortunately.

I got a totally random one from some random bookies, and I don't even remember which one, which I think I had only used for their opening offer and hadn't logged in for about a year.

[member=117]Blackpepper1[/member] I think if I can get the sky club 5 pounds each week I'd be pretty pleased as that's the only offer I was doing anyway. If I'm honest I got lazy with mugging it and mostly did their weekly enhanced odds treble laying it off with betfair. It pretty much lost every week tho.

I've made a quick £28 today on a Sky Vegas 'Exclusive for you' offer. Only popped on for 15 minutes before bed! Been a bit slack at matched betting AND visiting the shed lately. Be back properly later this week! :)

Quick question:

Is it in the best interests of my accounts health to only book on weekend football at the start of my 'relationship' with the bookies?

Decided whether to complete my current offers now, or wait for the weekend.

Regards,

Mark

Unless you are betting on random stuff like second division games in Iran then I would say you should be fine

My first two accas have now settled and I've made back the cost of the premium membership so any more accas this month are profit. My only issue so far is making sure I'm home when I need to lay as I am not keen on doing it on my mobile.
Very glad for the push [member=1]Jon[/member]
The next boot up the backside I need is to do horse racing. That is going to take a big boot!

Can you not do the lay all method if you don't want to be around when you're matches take place?

Use match catcher this Saturday on the races and you will make some excellent money!

You can play around with lay all on acca catcher

Move the slider and see how you feel about the potential profit(s)

Lay all is slightly different as you typically lose money if one leg loses, but you win on all the other outcomes. EVs are usually similar between the methods. With sequential you do have a chance to see the odds improve as the legs progress (but odds can get worse too - have on 3 of the last 4 sequentials I have done). I do a mix of both - using both OM ones (I don't do lock-ins or no-lay) and the PA one.

I've just had a look at the lay all and I'm not keen...lady luck is not on my side often enough for that kind of gamble.

Currently trying to sweet talk husband into taking my daughter to Brownies tonight as all the accas I am looking at starting having 2 or 3 legs tonight with tiny gaps between right when I would be in the car.
