Just had a survey on jokes. It was one of those without a link to click or arrows at the end. It says responses have been submitted but last time I had a survey like that I didn't get a completion code. I clicked the no code button but that can override the code if there was one. Am never sure of the best thing to do with these studies.

I've just done that one & did the same as you/ I've taken a screen print of the final page & also copied the URL.

Sounds like quite a few have been rejected. English wasn't great & a lot of spelling mistakes. I also found one of the fonts & colour difficult to read (the one for most of the jokes). I wanted a 'I don't understand it' button for a couple of them, lol.

Of course, I contact the researcher today kindly asking when the submission will be reviewed. Not long after, my submission has been declined.

Quite surprising considering I have never had any surveys rejected before by survey websites.

Anyone think this is a case of spite for being "impatient" (although it has been two weeks).

I just had one rejected too, the InSciOut survey 6. I've emailed the researcher. Was that the one you had rejected too?

I've had that one approved. I think it was that one where I got to the end & thought I must have missed the quality check as I didn't notice one. It certainly wasn't an 'ignore the question & answer x' type quality check (if I'm thinking of the right one).

Turns out that my survey was rejected because I surpassed the time limit. However, it has since been manually overturned and approved.

All makes sense with the world. I feel a lot more comfortable now using Prolific academic and will push forward.

I've just done the survey on jokes too. It was all a bit odd - asked for your name but not participant ID, and didn't give me a completion code or have anything to click at the end. The preamble seemed to go on and on about how they wouldn't pay folk who weren't paying attention. I noticed a couple of the jokes were repeated and wondered if that was an attention test, but of course on a 1-100 rating scale there's not much chance I'll have given them exactly the same number twice.

I've just had one that had an attention check of 'remember this 7 digit number'. No way that I could remember it for 5 seconds let alone 5 minutes. Luckily Mr Pen and Paper has an exceptional memory

Wish I'd got in on this one - couldn't see it when it was mentioned here then saw it the next day - went to enter it and it was full Nevermind did the size perception one for £2.00 that I hope gets accepted

Did anyone do the study on investment choices? It was a different format than normal. I finished the study but there was no submission button so I just logged out of the study and put no code. Am not sure if that was correct.

Is that the one that's up just now? I took a look at it but to be honest all the registration info etc that it wanted looked a bit much for 50p!

There's a bonus too if you do well. It took me about 10 minutes. You have to pay attention to the instructions because there is a test but the actual study itself is easy enough. I found it quite interesting.

I started to fill out the first page but it was insisting on answers to things that were not relevant, eg insisting on knowing what 'industry' I work in when I'd said I was a student, so I just opted out. Hope it works out for you!

The 50p one is blank for me too and has now timed out. I've messaged the researcher but I don't know if there's a way they can somehow reset it so I can try again if the problem turns out to be at their end? I'm using Firefox. It also appeared to be blank in IE but it had already timed out by the time I logged in through that anyway.

Out of interest, how much did you end up with after your investments?

I ended up with 130m. So a 30 million profit and a bonus of £1.30 i think? How about you?
