Thanks so much for your reply but being a tech luddite I'd never have a clue what that means! You can always add an exception in the browser, or use different DNS provider.

I'm not on TalkTalk but that is more or less the same as the email that appeared in my Prolific mail this morning:
Hi there,
This is Zak from Prolific Support. If you were able to take part successfully in the study "Oxford Packaging Research Project: Perceptions of Food (2B300)", then please disregard this message.
We discovered yesterday (13th March) that the UK broadband provider TalkTalk has erroneously blocked the Qualtrics website (popular survey hosting platform), so if your ISP is TalkTalk you may be unable to access some studies on Prolific for the time being. You may instead receive an error message, such as "The connection is not secure", and the study won't load correctly.
Unfortunately, this is somewhat out of our control, but we're doing everything we can to push for a quick resolution between Qualtrics and TalkTalk. We do nevertheless apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Whilst we attempt to resolve the issue with these companies, we kindly ask that you "Return" any submissions in which you were unable to take part in the study successfully - you can do this from your Submissions page, by clicking the "Return + cancel reward" button.
If you require any further assistance, or if your ISP is not TalkTalk but you still couldn't take part in this study, feel free to contact Prolific Support via support@prolific.ac.
Best,
Zak
If it's blocked at the ISP end this won't make any difference will it?
I have just got £24.00 bonus from a decision making study. Did anyone else get this? I have not checked the site for a while as I thought it would be quiet in the Easter holidays so was quite surprised.
Wow, that's a lot of surveys! How often do you log in? I try to check them once a day, but sometimes the surveys fill in before I get a reliable internet connection!I've been using it just under 2 years... but they have done me well so far. Close to 3k now. Only things I get returns or ignores for are either voice chat, shares or Skype ones... Don't touch them since I do it from work. Best thing about Prolific though is most of the time it is genuinely interesting, unless you get the press E for left, P for right sort of things that you have to do for half an hour for a measly £4.50...
Certainly beats the rest of them out there for cash paid...
Used to be on the old or now moved Prolific forum, but that was more about updating...

Seconds, OK... I've had the case where there were several hundreds of slots left, but when I get somewhere with internet access half an hour later, it's gone! Ah well...Prolific studies can go in seconds!
How do you know there's a study to do with no internet access? Homing pigeon?Seconds, OK... I've had the case where there were several hundreds of slots left, but when I get somewhere with internet access half an hour later, it's gone! Ah well...
When you reserve it you will see a countdown on the same screen. usually, it is around 10-20minsHow long after reserving a study do you have before you should start it? I reserved one this morning using my phone - it wasnt suitable for completion on a mobile but by the time Old Clunky desktop had fired up ten minutes later, the study was marked as returned. Is there a way to reserve a place for longer than ten minutes?
