[OT] Slice the Pie - Music & Fashion Review (earn up to $0.50 per review)

Slicethepie.com is the site I go to when I have about an hour or so free and I want to make some extra money doing something that is other than a survey. Slicethepie is awesome for that. You can make almost a hundred dollars (about 60 pounds) a week if you keep at it!

According to how well you write your review, you can earn anywhere between 5 cents to 25 cents and if you're really good, you can rake it in per a song! The only downside is, it is hard to keep up with everyday and your reviewer rating deeply effects how much you earn. But if you have a lot of free time, I still recommend this greatly!

I signed up to this one last night. I absolutely love it, I'm a massive music fan so this just combines two great activities (listening to music and making money) into 1 great activity!

I was slightly concerned that I wouldn't articulate enough but I read through the hub page that they send you in an email, which contains some brilliant types and lots of language you can use!

Feel more confident and I've submitted a few reviews already.

I signed up to this website about a month ago thinking it sounded like a fun way to make a bit of extra cash!

At first I really enjoyed it. It has a really wide range of music to listen to, then you rate the song and write a short review. After a while I did start to get pretty annoyed at the fact that my level never seemed to go higher (when you reach a higher level, you are paid more per review). I had a little look round these types of forums, and found that your level goes up when you rate the song the same (out of ten) as the majority of other reviewers. So if most people rated a song a 6, and you also rate it a 6, your level increases. I think if you were to rate it a 5 or 7 and everyone else rated a 6 your level stays the same, but if you are further out than that and say give it a 3 or a 9, your level actually DECREASES!

I found that my level was pretty much staying the same the whole time and I started to get frustrated! ;D After writing reviews for about an hour and a half and realising I had only made $5 which is about £3 I gave up, and still haven't got up to the threshold where I can withdraw the money, so now I have $5 sitting in my account!

Getting my daily email made me what to see if there is a thread about this.

I signed up several months ago thinking this would be a nice little earner, turns out I am rubbish at it. I have a rather specific music taste and it seems most of the music it is asking me to review is not in that genre so I REALLY don't enjoy it. I then get told off because my review isn't long enough because other than spewing out the same "I think this will be a big hit" drivel I have nothing positive to say about the music.

Just checked through my emails and it looks like I've had an account on here since 2008. I never really liked it. The music was almost always terrible and my level wouldn't improve, so it took forever to redeem. It's a similar situation to Sarahtaylor95 really. It's easy to tire yourself out here. I wouldn't mind giving it another try to see how things have changed, if at all. Maybe once a week is manageable.

Slice the Pie

Well, I don't actually like this website because of a personal experience with them, but, if you like music and don't mind writing a few words about songs you listen to, it's here for you to make up your own mind about. I know a few others do rave about it, and I'd guess the pay was similar to surveys and the like.

When I was a member (years ago), the pay was rather more generous than it is now and I built up a sum of about £65 quite quickly, but then they retracted most of it because they said I cheated. (My reviews were similar to one another).

I'm not sure how much it pays atm. I did just read the FAQs and Terms and Conditions but am guessing it's dependant on your individual profile.

Anyone else a member?

[OT] Slice the Pie - Music & Fashion Review

Slice the Pie have added an update to the site with a fashion review.

Review the image and description of an item of clothing and get a fee. I've posted three at sixty words each and got 21 cents each (13 pence?) I'm a speedy typist so no more than a minute per review.

Cash out remains $10, so if like me you're at a computer each day, it's an easy slow burner. I've not cashed out yet. Currently at $9.48 from earlier earnings. I'll post again once I've cashed out.
