Don't suppose anyone has heard back about their sandbox? I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever hear.

Yep, passed.

I started on the 16th.

Re: uTest

i haven't heard either back regarding sandbox either but i did get offered one for my tablet, i declined it because i hardly use it and don't know how to use all the functions to screenshot etc, so i shall wait til i get offered one for my pc, laptop or phone and get some experience before i even think about trying it on the tablet.

Re: uTest

guys can I possibly pick someones brains on this site? I am finding it all a little confusing, I registered and filled in the extended profile however some of it is not saving. When I go back into my account settings to re add them I am getting an error.

I have sat and read a lot of things and looked down the board of jobs but nothing sounds suitable for me.

I have not seen anything about the sandbox nor really sure where I need to be starting. Can anyone suggest a good help page, guide, anything? I keep clicking tabs but there is so many pages and I am getting lost. I have 4 tabs open now alone.

It says only some people get invited to sandbox, what do I do if I am never invited? Surely the sandbox thing is how to learn? I am so confused now can you tell lol.

Just some links to the best areas to start reading would be really appreciated here thanks guys.

:)

Re: uTest

Torialou does it have a message when you login saying "extend your profile" and a blue button? If it is that then that is a known problem and if your account is already extended you can ignore it.

What devices have you shown on your profile? I had a sandbox invite straight away and have had 4 paid projects since passing it. When did you register?

Just heard- did not pass- will try again though.
There is a link to a 101 quiz but the link seems to take me to the university, anyone know where to find this quiz?

is this the e-mail you received ? they have the worst buggy website ever, you would think a company like them cld sort out a web page for a computer.

Dear uTester,

I am reaching out to you today in regard to your recent invitation to participate in the Sandbox program. It seems we didn’t get a good chance to determine your eligibility for future paid projects. This could have happened for one of the following reasons:

1. Your reports were approved BUT were missing required information as listed by the customer in the Scope (i.e. – Bug Title formatting, Additional Environment Info, etc).
2. You participated but you did not submit two approved bug reports AND one approved test case.
3. You did not participate.

As you know, Sandbox provides newly registered uTesters with the opportunity to evaluate uTest, and likewise it is an opportunity for uTest to evaluate new uTesters. While you will not be prevented from participating in paid projects, testers who perform in the top 30% of their class do receive a higher priority when being selected. If you’re still interested in receiving this higher priority, please use the following link to answer a few quick questions. This will help us put you on the correct path to successfully working with uTest.

Take the Survey Here

Please note that Sandbox classes are launched on Mondays and Thursdays. Those who qualify and sign up for another invitation will receive it sometime in the month following this notification.

In the meantime, we invite you to take the uTest 101 quiz. Created in conjunction with the Paid Project Handbook, the quiz is designed to gauge your practical knowledge of uTest procedures and policies. The quiz should take no more than 10 minutes to complete and is entirely open book! In fact, all of the answers are found directly inside the Paid Project Handbook. We strongly encourage you to take part because participants who complete the quiz with a passing grade will receive a higher priority when projects are assigned.

NOTE: We’re always looking for experts - meaning you have 3-5+ years of experience - in Load & Performance, Automation or Security. Please review the following links on how you can participate with us in these ‘Expert Sourced’ Engagements:

Re: uTest

Just found out I passed Sandbox. I'm really pleased as I enjoyed the project. I'm off on holiday for a couple of weeks now so won't be able to work on anything they may throw my way but hopefully that won't work against me.

Sorry to hear you didn't get through Gavvy but, like you say, it's worth trying again and you should have a head start next time round.

Re: uTest

I passed :) Well done Amy & good luck to Gavvy for next time.

Quite excited to get started properly. What format does the webinar take? Is it just a live video? Is there access to it afterwards?

Well done Genie. I'm going to miss the webinar as we're on holiday so I'm hoping I'll be able to view it at another time.

In your profile there is an availability calendar. Add your holiday and you won't be penalised for ignoring invites :)

I posted some info on the 101 quiz a couple of pages back.

Re: uTest

The webinar is really quick, it is live but just listening or typing a question (if you have any).

There is an app for the webinar so I just downloaded it and listened through that, worked great.

I have done a few paid tests now. Really enjoying the work and am still surprised that I manage to find any unique bugs when there are some people who are lightening fast at getting bugs reported!

I've only had a test case confirmed so my pending payout isn't much but I have quite a few bugs waiting for verification. 8 I think and a couple of reviews.
