Re: uTest

Luckily, I've had a better start to March than I did last month!
I have 40 bugs pending as well.

I may also start training for accessibility testing. I'm a bit nervous about that but it would be good to expand my skill set.

Re: uTest

Spike, I'm doing my first paid cycle (finally ::)) and I've logged four bugs. Now I'm in a state of suspense. Will they get approved; will they get rejected; will my rating go up; will my rating go down??? ::)

I know bugs can have a 'pending' status for just a few hours or over a month, but I wanted to ask how it usually goes in your experience. I imagine it varies from cycle to cycle, but I just wanted to get a general idea...

There have been bugs approved and rejected in this cycle, but the majority is pending.

Thanks in advance :)

Re: uTest

It's hard to say but the majority are approved/rejected within a week of the cycle locking.
It depends a lot on the PM and the customer. Some customers allow the PM to approve, others do it themselves and some PMs are slow to approve and often leave it until the last minute.

You just have to get used to that state of suspense. Once you start working on multiple projects at once it becomes less of an issue as you'll have bugs approved/rejected regularly for the various cycles.

Re: uTest

Thanks so much for the quick reply :) One week doesn't sound bad.

Hehe, I can see that. It's just that with being my first paid cycle I'm a bit more anxious to see how things will go.

Re: uTest

I'm on my second paid cycle. I have 4 pending on my first one. Do you know if the initial 5 bug limit is per test or across the board?

Good luck with the accessibility testing, Spike. We may be picking your brains about that down the line ;)

It's really, really difficult!! I need to do a load of research before I can even begin to understand the test!

Re: uTest

Yes. I think it's an FF issue. Tried it on my iPad & it was fine, then tried again with Chrome - also fine.

Re: uTest

Finally hit silver :) Hopefully that'll last more than a few days.

Definitely having a better month than last. I don't think I'll get to $1000 this month but I'll be happy with anything over $600

Re: uTest

Things are picking up nicely for me since passing Sandbox. I'm on my 4th invite. The post-sandbox webinar yesterday was very informative. I recommend making an effort to join it if you can - even if you already have paid tests under your belt. Only took 15 minutes.

Re: uTest

First paid approved bug ;D (very valuable). I'm suspecting that I'll get some of my pending bugs rejected, but I'm happy to see the first one come through. I'm also happy about a sudden rise in the rate with which I'm being invited to paid test cycles - unfortunately I'm too busy at the moment to spend enough time testing for all of them (damn timing issues ::)).

Re: uTest

Just wondering if people use PayPal or Payoneer? I was going to opt for the latter but, unless I've misunderstood, the fees are higher?

Hi,

I use PayPal, just because I already had an account really.

Regards,

CAD.
