Hello everyone

I've decided to give the Profit Accumulator a whirl for the next month, then perhaps continue. I plan to give it at least 5 hours a week, but I'll strive for more. I'll be uber busy around Christmas as I'll still have my main job and end of the year deadlines but I want to try it.

Is 5 hours a week enough to see any return in a month?

I'm posting this for accountability but also so I can bounce off ideas with others. Please bear with me if I don't reply straight away to your comments

Thank you

you won't need to spend 5 hours a week on Matched Betting to make a decent amount of money

once you get into the swing of it in terms of time spent each day it will just become minutes to place the bets you want to do

Really? Good news :)

Surely though as with anything new it'll take me a while to get into the swing of it?

Also I have always been pretty terrified of gambling and steered very clear of it, so it'll probably take me a while to force myself to bet confidently. I understand this is not the same thing as gambling though.

your not gambling, it's risk free

Think of it as a business where you are starting with a bank roll of whatever (I dunno, £50) and you and trying to build it up

as long as you keep thinking of it as a business you won't gamble

I myself have done the journey, my advice to you is read the offers fully until you understand, I made minimal profit on a few of my free bets because I was quite clueless, I have however lent my brother my bankroll for a bit so he can get started, he has made a profit of around £350 in 4 days, good luck to you!

Join in the MB thread to ask any questions.

Regarding time; there'll be an initial investment to understand the concepts and terminology, plus download spreadsheets and get to grips with it. The sign up offers take longer than the ongoing offers as you're setting up accounts.

Put as much or as little time in as you want to see return. PA estimates 1-2 hours a day should get £1000+ a month once you're up to speed.

I'm aiming for £500 a month profit which is £115 profit per week. Given that you can make £40+ profit from one £50 free bet this basically equates to completing maybe 5 offers a week, depending on value. This isn't a big undertaking; each offer should take 5 mins when you're confident.

HOWEVER to make this long term viable you'd likely be needing to place several 'mug' bets every day to keep your accounts looking healthy and cover up the fact you're bonus hungry.

Therefore I would recommend you split your weekly hours into maybe 30-45 mins per day for your mug bets and the most profitable offers. With that you should easily clear £500-1000 a month.

Good luck and keep us updated!

Did my first bet and I am £22 up on Coral, is there a way to know which one is the money I already had in Coral and how much it's the qualifying bonus? because the calculator originally told me roughly £9 profit but I definitely didn't have £13 on Coral so not sure where £22 comes from

it also says "Total Casino "Playable" Balance" even though I bet on a horse , not on casino products... but then it also says "Playable on ALL products and withdrawable" so I guess it's ok ?

the £22 also includes the liability you lost into the exchange (smarkets, betfair, betdaq, ladbrokes)

thank you, I get it now

done the second offer, I keep having to top up my Betfair account in order to place the bets, the cynical in me makes me apprehensive about putting my own money, given that my financial situation isn't rosey...

are we sure this is secure profit?

Thank you Jon

How much money would you recommend I invest to get the earnings to snowball a bit quicker?

So far I've put mickey mouse amounts like £10 or £12. Being now right after Christmas doesn't help either...

I would say invest £500 that would get you off to a great start, also as long as you don't make a mistake and stick to the new players bonuses I'd say you could make £700 in two weeks easily.

I am a member of PA, but not used my account for several months. This was basically due to me not following the rules, and 'losing my way', by just trying to gamble on betfair. So i havent used it for months, however id sort of like to get back into it (not gambling!), and id like to know how i could go about making say £500 a month at it, this would be a lot of money to me. I dont want to spend all day on it, or get greedy, i just want a target like this and stop. The thing that put me off was having to do all the mug betting, and the frequency id have to do it to keep my accounts open. Many thanks for the help. :)

The reality is that if you are not willing to do the mug betting because it is a bit of a chore then you won't keep your bookie accounts open in the long term I'm afraid if you just appear as an offer hunter to them

I have done some mug betting before, what i meant to say is i dont want to spend all day on every account doing this. Is it essential to mug bet every day? Its a shame pinnacle sports still dont operate in the UK has im told they allowed arb betting, which i have done in the past and was good while it lasted! :)

do you mean I'd make £700 IF I invest £500? or even if I invest way less?

I could spare £50 to invest maximum at the moment I'm afraid
