Can I just say well done!. I look at your progress and dedication and you seem to be hitting some good amounts in a short period of time with many of the apps you are using. To be honest I looked at your totals and it made me have a look again at some of the apps as personally I don't use them at the moment and haven't used many of them for a year or so now, and wondered if I was missing out on an extra bit of income. Whether I use them or not I still have them all downloaded and regularly update them.
As many have said being self employed is about focus and hard work. You have to at times cut your losses and change your focus, not always it depends on what you are good at. This kind of work is exactly the same. The survey sites I found were not for me, not because they cannot be a good source of income but I did not want to sit behind a computer all day. The app work as good as it has been at times I found many of them, and still do, a lot of work for what they are, and in some case harder than other similar work you can get. I have had endless arguments with some of them about how they do things but it works for most of the people that use them.
Both of these areas are not for me.....RIGHT NOW! It does not mean I don't keep all my accounts open and check emails and dip in now and then, of course I do. as there may come a time where I need to use them and reply more on them.
I know you cannot do match betting, but the same mentality. I have had over £20,000 out of match betting and found it a great extra income source, but I dip in and out of it when I have the time, the available cash and want to. BUT I keep my subscription paid. Cheltenham is a perfect case, I know I should be on it and had all the intentions in the world to be focused on it. BUT something else came up and that has taken my time and some of my bank that I needed so I made the choice to focus on the other thing as it is a long term project rather than this week/weekend.
The area that I pushed myself in was Mystery shopping. I have been doing it for 5 years now, in that time again I was dipping in and out and doing it when I wanted and when I needed some money. It worked but it was slow. I then decided to up my game and went from 5 or 6 companies to almost 30 companies and it became a much bigger pot of my monthly income. It takes time and when you do more and more you will get calls from the companies rather than always chasing for the work, but it is not a quick process but like anything, call them, email them ask them. Don't badger them and make yourself a pest but say you will help if you can. Then do jobs you perhaps don't really want to do as it not only pushes you out of your comfort zone but also looks good to the shopping company.
So my two pence get some structure with all the apps you have mentioned, even the ones that are low on jobs or you think are not doing anything and make a plan or checklist and every day check them, tick them off the list and move on. Plan to contact 1 new Mystery shopping company and a week and plan your month with work and fill in different jobs in the same areas to make it more profitable. DO NOT see this as a day by day job it is a long term job treat it a that and don't worry if today is NMD (no money day) tomorrow may be a DMD (double money day). Always work out your hourly rate from what you have achieved and be honest on how much time you have worked on something and then see how you are doing, sometimes you will be surprised and if it was scaled up it is where you want to be. Then like any business, it is just about scaling it up.
