Just curious..I've been a member of this site for ages and have completed well over 1300 studies. I'm just finding they're getting more likely to be rejected now compared to in the past when I had zero rejections. I've had maybe three or four in the last month or two. Three times, PA just paid up but on the last one they wouldn't even answer my email ticket, they just kept closing it which was very frustrating. The researcher wouldn't really let me know what the problem was either. I've done nothing different and just curious if others are seeing anything similar. I'm still going to use them but cash out more frequently instead of letting my total build up.

I haven’t had a problem so far but I don’t let my balance build up too much before I cash out. I do try to be careful with the studies and try and not to get through the questions too fast. I try and copy and save anything that is long and detailed text as sometimes the attention checks can be difficult. They can be more of a test on your memory rather than just a simple question to check you are paying attention.

I haven't had any issues recently, in fact, i was surprised with a few of them that as soon as I clicked Complete Study, I received an email saying the response has been approved. However, I haven't been using it too much over the last 6 months or so!

I cash out as a rule every time I get to £10. I have noticed a lot more recently pulling a con or a fairly blatant data-scrape of social media accounts - the one yesterday that I suspect everyone saw wasn't even really trying to pretend otherwise. I mean, props to them for cheek, but...

As for rejecting studies, I tend to challenge them all, on principle. Even the £0.25 ones. Perhaps especially those, as how can they claim that a one question study has been somehow inappropriately answered?

I've decided to see how much I can earn from Prolific this (tax) year. I think even on fairly average use, I should be able to clear £50 a month.

Rejecting a one question survey, that's not good, how can they justify that...

I hope I gave them a giggle today with some of my answers, it can be quite entertaining at times!

I always grumble about open-ended questions too. They're not going to get data worth a damn from those!

The blatant data scrape seemed to be an open invitation to let them spam you on Instagram. Pretty awful. There have been a few "please download this virus so we can scrape your passwords" incidences of late as well, but I haven't seen any of them.

To be honest, for the volume of research put through Prolific, I think those instances are remarkably few and far between. There just seems to be an uptick of late. I think the scammers are getting more desperate.

As a rule i cash out as soon as it hits £5, the money is better off in my account than there's ;)

I have been with Prolific for a few years and had my first rejection at the end of January as I was apparently too quick. I went back to say the study had an average time of 4 mins and that I completed it in 4 minutes... It was approved the next day but the message did say 'Dear participants' so I do not think I was the only one!

On a slightly different note, Prolific somehow flagged my IP and I can't do studies because of...

Has anyone ever had an issue with it? It's so frustrating, there are good studies flying right in front of me and there's nothing I can do :(

Google it. Had a quick look. A couple of people have resolved this by resetting their router (one person had to do this twice). Got to be worth a try.

I’ve had a little break from Prolific since November but I started again on Wednesday and I’ve already made £26 in 2 days.

I’ve never worried about letting my balance build up.

I cash out on the 1st of each month. I can't be bothered with cashing out a fiver here and there because with me, it would just disappear. I clear a minimum of £100 each month and it goes straight into my dental bill fund. I know some people have lost any money if they've been kicked off but I'll cross that bridge if/when I come to it.

I have found that once you get to £150 that Prolific have to manually approve before processing the payment. This means you only get payment on a Tuesday and Friday afternoon.

Just had a very odd experience on Prolific. Clicked the button to start a study and it immediately came up with a completion code!
Opened the study in a new window and completed it. Then got a message saying there was a technical error. Went back to my dashboard and it was flashing between the completion code window and the take study window. Couldn't do a thing! In the end I had to delete all cookies and log out. Got back in and the study is showing as returned! Weird! Finally managed to contact the researcher and prolific, so watch this space!

Had this issue a couple of hours ago on a study and my partner had the same thing (different study) about 30 minutes ago.

I had the same issue and messaged, just received this:

This is a message to let you know that we are aware of an issue with redirection and payment at the end of the experiment, and we are working on getting it resolved. Please rest assured that you will be paid for your participation
