Just wanted to share this trick I have made used on a few occasions when booking holiday lets. If I am using a Holiday Letting Agency eg. Vrbo, Cottages. com etc, you may find that once you have booked online through the agent, you then get direct access to contacting the owner. The owner maybe using several letting agencies to advertise their properties. I have been able to bag better deals from liaising directly with the owner, who has advised me to then go ahead and cancel the letting with the agents, and book directly with the owner. The owner benefits from direct bookings because the agent does not take away a percentage of their profit for commission, and the owner may then benefit from earning more too.
