With these new restrictions I am in the tier 2 bracket. But are we still allowed support bubbles? On the gov site it states that I can set up a support bubble with my household (of 4) with a single adult household. That covers me doing necessary shopping and general checks on two family members who live on their own but can't manage on their own

Only with one of them. You can only form a bubble with one other household. That's always been the case.

But they are your family. So I know what I would do.

Yep one is an 84 year old lady who has recently had a bad fall. The other has mental health problems. I ain't gonna choose. If I get locked up for caring about vulnerable people then so be it
*could still do my Lionbridge SME from prison *

I would definitely view it as what is going to cause a bigger impact? What’s going to cause the most harm (taking into account the mental harm as well that not seeing them causes). It’s so horrible to have to be put in this position and I’m grateful I don’t have to be. I’m fairly antisocial with no family nearby. In saying that, I’m not advocating rule breaking whatsoever but I think it’s all about judgements. I wouldn’t ever shop someone when I don’t know the full details. No one really knows what’s going on in other peoples lives. Unless you plaster it all over social media obvs.

Nice to see mainstream media presenting the other side for once. Even if it is Australia.

The government said that, as of 9am on Wednesday, there had been a further 19,724 lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK. It brings the total number of cases in the UK to 654,644.

It also said a further 137 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Wednesday. This brings the UK total to 43,155.

Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have now been 58,500 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.

I wonder how many of those 19,724 'cases' actually have any symptoms.
20%?
Less?

I wonder how many are false positives?

and how many are deliberate made up lies?

I think they are doing mass testing of university students and most of them would have mild symptoms. However I would rather the government started to panic now than when we get 50 thousand cases a day. I went shopping today and it is depressing seeing the number of shops with closing down sales. I really can't see an improvement unless they teach students online.

I am no fan of this Tory Government and yes there may be some false positives and perhaps some are even mistakes but I doubt very much that any are made up deliberate lies. I have faith that Scientists and our NHS are doing their best with the current research they have.

I've received an invitation to get an antibody test to do at home. Seems a bit pointless as it says the test isn't accurate...

You are claiming testing centres are making up results here? What would the testing companies have to gain from that?

London going onto Tier Two at the weekend. Prevention rather than cure, I feel, but no bad thing perhaps.

The lies are made up at the point of data collection, analysis and publication . By the same people who lost the spreadsheet down the back of the sofa and suddenly found it again with 12,000 extra ''cases''

found something interesting (well not really) out today

Ever done a speed awareness course? I have a few years ago and there were about 30 of us in a room all doing it. Well not because of Coronavirus it's all done online if you get caught speeding and are offered the course!
