I've signed up to Tern to do some mystery shopping. There are a few local jobs I can get done this weekend but it won't allow me because I am not a high enough level. How am I meant to go up a level without doing the jobs? Anybody know?

From what I can remember with Tern I just applied for the local jobs anyway and eventually got 1.. if it lets you apply then once you start to get accepted for a couple of jobs you will level up quickly.

It could just be the few jobs showing that require a special level. As mentioned keep applying and you will get some. I do quite well out of the at times.

I would agree - just keep looking and there will be jobs you will be able to do. It will be worth it as they have some good paying jobs once you are established.
