    Hi all,

In a very short time The Money Shed is going to be moving to some new forum software.

The new software will still present the forum you know and love but will add many new features and abilities than we currently have.

Since the site was started 3+ years ago it has been chugging along nicely however It has now outgrown the free software I was using and there are various issues with the existing setup that I am looking to fix.

This is probably the biggest investment money wise that I have spent on TMS in quite some time!

I'm after a handful of testers to play around with the new forum and do some testing for me which will involve trying the site across their various web browsers / laptops / phones / tablets and doing a handful of new posts.

If you want to get involved with the testing please just drop me a PM.

    Thanks,

    Jon

I'm willing to help, can run it across BLU smartphone, Vodafone smart 7 first, real low end machine, an mbox Android/Kodi box and a GP pavilion pro deskjet 600 running Windows 8 and an old PB nitebox running Windows XP lol

Test across a broad spectrum is better imho home than targeting £1k iPhones and people with custom rigs water cooled and o/c to the max :p
But if I'm not up to date enough no problem just say and I retract my offer of help

    No.

    It happened IN April.

We are already using the new software.

    There is nothing to test.

Shouldn't old obsolete posts be taken down then?

The original post says it's from April 2017 on it so it's pretty clear it's from a few months ago.

I can't really go around deleting old posts and threads as that would defeat the point of a how forums work as much as a "resource" as much as it is a "community platform"

The ability to look up things in an organised manor since this site was created (and that google has indexed) are what set forums WAY ahead of Facebook groups.
