My name is Stephanie Shiel,

Im a third year journalism student and I'm writing a story on how the recession has affected us in the UK, I wanted to make it more about what it has done to us and to what extents we are going to, to earn money! I have made a post on this forum and
my question is basically "What is the worse thing you've done to earn money and how much did you earn?" the article is more for my final project then to be a published piece of work, so i would really appreciate it if you would share your story with me.
It doesn't matter how bad the job was or for how much it was its more of a survey to see how far the recession has really affected us.

Feel free to comment with questions on my post, I can always tell you a bit more about the article or my project etc.
Thank You. :D

Hi guys,

I am a student and I have been looking for ways to make money online for quite a long time now. I have experimented with quite a lot of different methods some have been very successful and others not so much. I have earned money through affiliate marketing, youtube ads, referral schemes, betting etc.

Hopefully I can learn from you guys and I also look forward to sharing my own knowledge! Looking forward to meeting you

Cheers

Welcome! A good start is the toolkit found here: http://blog.themoneyshed.co.uk/working-from-home-toolkit/

Not only gives info on the kind of tech you'll need but also some of the websites can be found lower down. Starting a diary in the Diaries section to track your progress is a great way to interact with the community and can be a useful way to really see how far you've come, what sites are working for you (and the ones that are not!)

We look forward to seeing you around the forums :D

Hey, things are really quite just now in my regular freelance work so I've been keeping busy the last few months by doing surveys, couple of mystery shops etc. Having even just a few pounds coming in makes me feel a wee bit more positive. Hoping to pick up a few more ideas here :)

Hi everyone,
Just came here from reading about it on the green site. Trying out a few of the phone apps such as Roamler and field agent and hopefully putting my massive earnings towards a new phone.

Hi Katykicker, I did see some of your posts on various threads on the other site. You are quite a frequent poster!
I decided to join this site because it seemed to be more focussed on boosting income/working from home. I think someone said that information was being posted here about the Field Agent tasks that were going to be available in future.

Welcome Karen, can I take a wild guess and assume you are the Karen who messaged me on Netmums earlier? ;)

Biggest tip is to read Jon's toolkit: http://blog.themoneyshed.co.uk/working-from-home-toolkit/ it will get you started at least. :)

Hi, I'm Tom and I've been money saving for years!

University was tough, I used to do around a focus group per week and various amount of medical trials - to the extent that I failed my degree! Much more in control now, regular use Shopitize, Checkout smart, up to around £700 on TCB, £300 on Quidco and £600 on FieldAgent. Always looking for more ways to save/make money!
