Hello all :) I've just noticed this thread even though it was right in front of me, I was off looking for a separate forum board! This place looks great, several threads have already caught my eye. I'm looking forward to hanging around and thought I'd drop in here to say hello!

Ah ha the obligatory introduce yourself thread !

Well my name is Mark and I am from Bristol (UK) im 42 years old and have three children.
My main income now is made from my online ventures, but like most of you and as Jon said in his first post in this topic, I also started off doing surveys.

I'm happy to help and hopefully stop people making the same mistakes I did, whilst trying to make money online.

Thanks
Mark

Hello everybody
I am new here but I am sure I made a good decission to join the club.
I found out about this forum on Netmums.
my new year resolution was to save some money and with the help of some netmums I got into the habbit of saving.
I never had more than £50 in my savings account but to date I have over £400.
I learnt to spend money only on what I really need and I am always looking for new tips.

Hi all!

I'm Sarah, I'm 18 and currently studying at university and have A LOT of free time! I have found it hard to get a proper part time job, as many places want me t be fully flexible or work the same shift every day, which is impossible with my uni timetable being all over the place!

I have been filling in online surveys for a while now, but have never done very well from them! haha but I have just applied for the 63336 researcher role, and been told I have passed the test so I am very excited for this!

Have a good day!!

Hello! I'm Kat, 33 from London. I'm single and live alone in a flat which I own (albeit on a large mortgage). I'm an Executive PA by day, but in order to pay down the mortgage as quickly as possible and give myself some freedom to think about a career change I'm looking to make some extra on the side.

In the past I've done surveys, matched betting, mystery shopping, competitions, focus groups, medical trials (only minor ones) - basically anything I can get my hands on that pays okay. My latest money making sideline is taking part in University psychological studies. I am lucky enough to work in the middle of London near to quite a few places that have studies running so make an extra £10 a week or so on it. My target is to over pay the mortgage £250 a month until summer when I will remortgage then look at what I can afford again.

I'm hoping to meeting some like-minded people on here as most of my friends think I'm mad for doing this!

Trust me, you ain't crazy for doing this.

Especially when you see how much can be made..

Why not make a Diary in the 'Money Diaries' section and set yourself some targets each month - It's good way to motivate yourself

Hello my name is Liam, 26 living in a flat in north England with my cat who just gave birth to four kittens. Spend a lot of time at home but hoping my gardening profession can serve me better this year. So money is tight right now but I have adopted online money making as a side hobby, something to work towards.

Thanks for reading and hi to all members !!

Hi Liam,

Great to have you on the site - Can't wait to see your contributions.

Hopefully with all the info on here you can find a method of earning an income as most of us do from here. Might be worth making a diary in the 'money earning diaries' section so you can set yourself targets to achieve each month

Hi Caroline, I'm a home edder too with a daughter who's, amongst other things, Aspergers and ADD. We're not 'officially' home edding any more as she'll be 18 this year. But as you know for our children the support needed is very much ongoing and doesn't stop at 16. I've been gradually increasing my earnings. It's still not much, but I feel hopeful. I'm limited as well because I have significant health problems of my own. Welcome aboard. You'll find lots of useful advice and ideas here. :)

Hi, my name is Karen.

I have started to try and find a way that I can earn some extra money working online. I had a job that paid enough money to pay all the bills but I I hated it and one day I just thought I can't do this anymore so I handed in my notice. I was very lucky as I managed to find a job that I love. The downside to it is that it is only part time and pays basic wage so I have a need to earn a little extra money to top my wage up.

I am confused with all the different survey sites but really enjoy doing them. Any advice that anyone can pass onto me would be very much appreciated.
