First payment made

£139.04 / £1246.84 = £1107.80 to go

12.45% paid already

So far that has only been money earned from 'side hussles' (as I believe the kids say).

Which is nice.

have you considered upgrading your flight?

I'm not sure who you are flying with but Virgin HOUND you up upgrade to either their V-Room at the airport OR upgrade to Premium / Upper class

No reply from ebookers on the refund. I think it will be canelled again as I realised the flights are only days appart, not 8, so phoned them up to reduce the trip by 1 day.

That, in itself, was a nightmare!

I did, however, get a refund of £184.79, so I'm now under £900 remaining for the trip. I'm not sure I should add that to my running total or not.

:)

£369.93 / £1246.84 = £885.91

29% paid off

So I've decided to include it. It wont make any overall different to the amount required but I think its good to show it in full.

Yes, for the reduction in stay from 8 days to 7 days - so 'no' to the pricematch.

They were a nightmare. I asked them to reduce the trip by 1 day NOT cancel and rebook. Originally they mentioned a £299 refund. I said you are mistaken. they said they weren't and it was due to dynamic pricing. I got them to check again. They did. When they went to fix it only then they noticed they had booked me the wrong room. I mentioned I didn't want to cancelled and rebooked. They were dreadful.

The hotel room we wanted was fully booked (which is why I didn't want a cancel and rebook) luckily they were able to rebook my room immediately.

I still might cancel it and rebook it myself as I don't think they Cashback will track now, either.

What a pain.

gah, sounds like a nightmare

For our trip in August I made 2 hotel bookings with them (no flights!) and just kept going back to the well and asking them to refund me money each time the price dropped elsewhere and I could send screenshots

tbf I never modified our booking at all like you've had to do

I have a cancellable rate so will keep an eye on the pricing and go from there. It is what its is though. Its just a shame about the c/b mainly, as that was about £100.
